Fall is here and with it come many dangers for out pets. I would like to list a few of the dangers to them over the next few weeks in hopes that it will help someone.
1. Antifreeze Poisoning- You may know a mechanic, have your car in the driveway repairing it or dispose of antifreeze improperly or maybe your neighbors don't. Antifreeze is toxic to dogs. 5 tablespoons can kill a medium size dog. It takes sweet to the dog or cat, therefore they don't mind eating it. Within hours it can affect your dog by making him/her look drunk, drink alot of water and urinate alot of water. By the time you see these symptoms, it may be too late. Please dispose of antifreeze properly and not in typical trash containers that dogs can retrieve.

We have a client who needs to adopt out 3 pets due the death of a relative. I am attaching pictures of the pets and a description of each. All three will be spayed this coming Tuesday. They have had all their vaccinations and are on heartworm/flea/tick medication. If anyone is interested, please call the clinic at 936-856-3339. Thank you!!

Heartworm disease is real!!! It exists in Texas because we have two species of mosquitoes that can carry the disease. Dogs (canines) are the natural host but cats have been know to develop the disease as well. Please use heartworm preventative if you love your pet!!

Seeing is believing! Sometimes we have to gross out our clients to have them be serious about heartworms!
