-Never leave your pet unattended in a car
-When hot/humid, keep your pet’s time outdoors limited
-Keep your pet hydrated
-Ensure your pet has ventilation and a cool environment
-Dogs with short noses are at higher risk due to their condensed facial anatomy and restricted ability to cool themselves
-If any signs of heat stroke appear, contact our team immediately.

Meet River! He needs a forever home! This approximately 8-month-old Black Lab was abandoned and tied to a tree in the bad storms last week. He is a loving and well-mannered pup, walks great on a leash, and is potty trained. River picks up on training and correction quickly and is easily kenneled. He would make an awesome hunting, fishing dog, or just a wonderful family pet. He doesn't have a microchip and was negative for heartworms! Is your pet scooting or licking their rear? It could be their a**l glands.
A**l glands are located on the rear of dogs and cats. The glands produce an oily, fishy-smelling fluid that helps with scent marking. Sometimes these glands can get impacted or infected.
