Whew, it's been a moment since I posted on here!!

Little update, I got a new job working with animals more closely which has been great with getting myself more experience! Unfortunately, because of this, I can't do overnight pet sitting until further notice.

I've been working quite a lot and doing overtime, but I'm looking into getting another phone number so people can easily contact me if they're interested in my services. Besides that, I don't feel like I have too much more to say!

A Whisker Away - In Home Pet Sitting
Services and add-on breakdown:

Get To Know Me Meet Up - FREE
The first meet up between you, the animals, and me! This is a required service before I will pet sit or walk your dog for you. It is 100% FREE and is so we can get to know each other and I can get to know your pets. (:

Dog Walking - Starting at $15
A 30 minute walk for your dog around your neighborhood!

What's included in this price?
Up to 2 dogs per walk, and your location must be within 10 miles of me for this price.

Add on's:
+$5 per extra dog over 2
+$5 per extra 30 minutes of walking
+$1 per mile outside of my service area

Pet Daycare Check-in - Starting at $15
A 30 minute once daily check in for those who work long days or are away from the home for a long day. This cannot be used for an overnight vacation, I require at least 2 drop in visits for that.

What's included in this price?
Up to 3 dogs per check-in, feeding (if needed), medication (if needed), potty, and playtime. Your location must be within 10 miles of me for this price.

Add on's:
+$5 per extra dog over 3
+$5 per extra 30 minutes of playtime
+$1 per mile outside of my service area

Drop In Pet Sitting - Starting at $20 per day
2 drop in pet sitting visits for 30 minutes each at your home while you're away!

What's included in this price?
Up to 3 dogs per check-in, feeding, medication (if needed), potty, and playtime. Your location must be within 10 miles of me for this price.

Add on's:
+$5 per extra dog over 3
+$7 per extra visit
+$1 per mile outside of my service area

Overnight Pet Sitting - Starting at $50 per day
An overnight pet sitting stay in your home, including one check-in during the day. Overnight stays vary between 8pm - 8am, depending on my part time job schedule. (:

What's included in this price?
Up to 3 dogs per overnight stay, feeding, medication (if needed), potty, and playtime. Your location must be within 10 miles of me for this price.

Add on's:
+$5 per extra dog over 3
+$7 per extra visit during the day
+$1 per mile outside of my service area

Here are all my services and prices broken down in an easy to read format! I mainly serve Converse to Live Oak area but can service out farther as long as you're within 10 miles of my location, or are okay with the extra $1 per mile charge over 10 miles!

Thank you to everyone who followed me, liked my page, or reached out for potential pet sitting. I try my hardest to give the best prices and the utmost best care to your babies and any support to me or my small little business is so appreciated and makes my day. Thank you!

Just a few updates in general,
As of right now, I have open availability completely for all my services including over night pet sitting until November, and then I'll reevaluate my availability for the month of November, since I may go visit family.
I do work a part time job, but my job does not affect my small business since I only work 4-6 hour shifts and I only work about 20 hours a week.

I'm also looking to go back to school in the Veterinary field in September! My job offers a free bachelor's degree through ASU online and one of the programs is Pre Vet Biological Science. Since it's 100% online it's something I can easily do with my pet sitting business.

And lastly, a friend of mine will be helping me in making a logo for my small company. (: I'm also looking into getting a website and another phone number I can put on my page so I can be more easily reached outside of Facebook.

Hi everyone!

I apologize I have not posted in a while, things have been crazy! I got a job at Starbucks and have been fostering a mom and 6 wonderful kittens. 4 have already found forever homes (2 with me!) And still looking for homes for 2 more.

Besides that, unfortunately both my bunny babies passed away at 8 years old recently from old age.

A little update on my life as well, I'm planning on going back to school soon to be a Veterinarian or Veterinary Tech (:

Hello! Thank you for liking and following my page, it helps a lot! I just wanted to give a little bit more information about myself and my experience for y'all 😊

I've had dogs since I was 2 years old, I've been around them for 20+ years! I've pet sat in the area I used to live in for 6 years until I moved here to Texas. I've pet sat and walked all kinds of animals, including senior animals, cats, fish, birds, etc. One of the best dogs I've ever walked was a Japanese Akita, incredibly smart, so smart that you had to let him know you were boss or else he'd walk all over you.

Along with that, I have bunnies and a cat so I also have experience with small and exotic animals. Although I never personally owned reptiles or guinea pigs, I have friends who had them and know a little bit about them. I'm always willing to learn and to give the best care to your furry babies!

I worked at a dog boarding facility shortly as well, which gave me great experience in dog and cat behavior. I feel that a lot of dogs personally do better when they get to be in their home turf, which is why I do dog sitting out of the owners home.

As of right now, I'm working on getting reviews and testimonials from previous clients on my page. So keep an eye out for those!

Hello! Welcome to "A Whisker Away - In-Home Pet Sitting".

My name is Kayla and I offer pet sitting services, both drop in and overnight, as well as dog walking! I recently moved here a few months ago and used to do dog and cat sitting for a few families where I used to live and it's something I throughly enjoy!

I'm 23 years old, and currently have 6 animals: 2 dogs, a cat, and two bunnies. I've been pet sitting since I was 16, and started doing it more frequently when I turned 18 and started college. Right now, I'm seriously studying to do something in the cyber security field and would love to help anyone who needs a dog sitter!
