❗️We urgently need a foster for 4 baby kittens who were abandoned at our gate! They are around 2 weeks old. We can supply everything you need! They need a foster asap!

Our van is safely back home thanks to the help of all of you and DenMar's Animal Refuge Network! These amazing humans donated their efforts to get our van out of impound and drive it back to us!

And it appears our van was abandoned because it ran out of gas! Who would have thought our old, 24-year-old van, could even make it 3 hours 😅

Thank you all again for your shares! It takes a village! 🐾

Newest update 📣 Our new friends at DenMar's Animal Refuge Network are helping us get our van back to Converse! Thank you! 🐾

Update ❗️Our van was found abandoned on the side of the road in Ozona, Texas. It is currently in an impound lot. We have no other details right now, nor do we know the condition of the van and if it is still in working condition.

We are still trying to figure out the logistics and how we are going to get the van back here and from 3 hours away. If anyone has any contacts in Ozona please reach out to us. Thank you all for sharing!

‼️BOLO‼️ OUR CASI VAN HAS BEEN STOLEN!

This morning we arrived to CASI to realize our shelter van had been stolen from our parking lot over night. If anyone sees this vehicle, please call the police immediately. We have reported it stolen.

•Last seen in our parking lot Tuesday evening 9/24/2024: 9634 Schaefer Rd, Converse Tx 78109•

This van is crucial to our mission! We pick up donations and transfer animals to and from the vet and adoption events with this van.

Please help us find it! The van has our info on it and wrapped in photos of dogs and cats, it’s hard to miss!

We are a 501c3c, no kill, non profit animal shelter. We rely on grants, donations and adoptions to get by. Thank you for sharing!

Hello friends! We’ve been busy here at CASI! 🐾

On Monday we got a call from one of our partnering vet clinics regarding almost 40 dogs that were being surrendered due to the death of their owner. We were able to step on and save 12 of them (other rescues also stepped in for others). Today is also the BIG GIVE 2024!

Please consider donating to us to to help with vetting these dogs and continuing our efforts to build a new entrance due to the construction!

This little doggy was found last week in Copperfield. His microchip leads us to a dead end in Georgia- The vet clinic that implanted the chip says the owner they have on record gave him away.

A no-kill shelter in Converse believes construction on a city road is putting the facility and animals at risk.

1448 days later and TESSA is still waiting for her furever home.
July 7th will mark TESSA’s 4 year anniversary being back at the shelter. 4 YEARS!! 😢

Please help us get this amazing senior girl into her furever home soon! Shes amazing and gets along with other dogs and kids. No cats though 🫣

We would like to apologize to all of our volunteers and supporters for the flooding that has been occurring at the shelter the past couple days.

This picture was taken after the short, but hard, 5 minute downpour we had yesterday afternoon. When cars drive by outside, the inside of our shelter gets blasted with rainwater that is sitting in the road. The water pooling in our entrance is over ankle-deep. And if you are outside the gate you better run, because the cars will splash you as they drive by!

We have never had flooding issues like this before the construction started. No one is taking responsibility for it. The city blames the construction company and the construction company blames the city. We were told by the project manager today that there is nothing we can do.
We at CASI have been very patient over the past 2 years. Our parking lot and front entrance has been tore up and used as storage (We were never asked if our property could be used to store equipment). Our small driveway where we park our van is still waiting to be paved. Our parking lot is a mud pit. And now we cannot come in and out of our entrance without wading through several inches of water.

If there is anyone out there that can assist us in any way to get this issue fixed please reach out!

At most times we have over 100 dogs and cats here at the shelter that we must care for on a daily basis. Adoptions can’t happen if people can’t get in. We are a 501c3 no-kill nonprofit. We survive off donations, grants and adoptions. We do not receive any funds from the city.

KITTY KITTY FANG FANG came to us after her human passed away 😞
She is a Domestic Shorthair with beautiful Calico coloring! KITTY would like nothing more than a furever home to call her own where she can get daily ear scratches 🤗
She is 4 years old, and lived with another cat AMBER (who is also here and available for adoption).

She is up to date on vaccines, fiv/felv negative, microchipped, spayed and dewormed.

🌊 Sweet babies MOANA, MAUI & TAMATOA are looking for new adventures!

These 3 adorable puppies came to us about 6 weeks ago. They were in rough shape, so one of our fosters took them home and nursed them back to health 🩷

MOANA is the gray girl, MAUI is the black boy, and TAMATOA is the brindle boy. They are pitty mixes and their birthday is 3/6/2024. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

They are seriously the sweetest pups and would make a great addition to any family!
