🟫Squares🟫 and 🟤Circles🟤 today.
Did you know that circles have 4 corners? 🤔
You might say, wait circles don't have any corners at all. But when riding circles, you have four points in which you ask your horse for bend, flexion, and/or softness. One of my mentors, Donna Love, taught me this to help me understand the 20 m circle in dressage. In this exercise, it strengthens the bond of the inside leg and the outside rein relationship which when applied correctly, will keep the geometry of your circle even on all four sides and your horse bent around the inside leg in the arch of the circle.
