UPDATE: Hazel has beenn adopted ❤️

Meet Hazel!

This little lady is a declawed, 10 years old very sweet and loving cat. She doesn’t like dogs/cats or small children. Her preferred home would be an older less active family. She likes to play but also loves to just lay in a window in the sunshine. She doesn't like loud noises. She wants to smell your hand before you pet her. She's fully vetted.

Might be ok with one other cat but not multiple.
She must be an indoor cat only!!!

She does have an adoption fee.

Uh oh, looks like Max is started to feel dejected. The adoption applications haven’t been pouring in for him. Actually, I don’t think we’ve gotten any. We haven’t told him that, but he’s a dog and can sense things. He’s a handsome guy with tons of good points. Like his sincerity, concern and friendliness. And let’s face facts, this guy is gorgeous…right down to his very fancy feet. He’s a Catahoula mix, about 2 years old. He weighs 62 pounds. Max is very solid, both in body build and personality. Please don’t pass him by…he’s too good a dog for that!

If Luke looks familiar, there’s a good reason. He’s been here before. But he graduated in September without being adopted. He still hasn’t been. So, we’re trying again. He’s back in the program for a refresher course, and we going to try extra hard to get this sweet boy a forever home. He’s a mix of Black Mouth Cur and whatever was hanging around the farm. Luke is sweet, smart and eager to please. He’s 18 months old, weighs 45 pounds, and has perfect eyeliner. Please share his picture so we can find him the perfect home. We don’t want this cupcake to strike out twice!

When handsome comes a callin’. This is Diego, and he’s a beauty. Fluffy coat, gorgeous color, glorious tail, and a pink slash across his nose. Every square inch of him is beautiful. And the best part is…his natural beauty isn’t skin deep. It goes all the way to the bone. Diego is a hugger. He’ll hug you every chance he gets. He also loves belly rubs and snuggles. Diego is 3 years old, but he’s really an overgrown puppy. Very wide-eyed, sweet and gentle. Everything seems brand new to him, and he wants to take it all in. He weighs 68 pounds. And honestly, he’s a dream.

Casually confident and undeniably pretty. That’s our Luna. She’s a special girl with a sweeter-than-pecan-pie personality. Just by lying there and looking at you, Luna makes who want to hug her. She’d like that, too. Luna is a 2-year-old, 51-pound blend of breeds. Lab is probably included. Maybe a bully breed, too. But that’s a guess. Luna is a thinker. She’s not the kind that flies off the handle or rocks the boat. She’s way more measured than that. You’ll like her, and right away, you’ll feel her pulling you closer.

Have a bad day? You know, one of those days…when everything you did was wrong. Nothing went how it was supposed to go; every office machine you touched immediately broke or jammed; and the mayo on your sandwich tasted funny. Well, if this was your day, we have what you need. Sit back, take three deep breaths and just look at this face. Don’t think. Just look. The dog is as soft and sweet. His eyes really are that sincere. And the only thing he asks of you is to love him. His name is Big Mac. He’s a Great Pyrenees mix. Two years old and 71 pounds. Now, just sit there and think about how good it would be to come to this face. No matter what happened at work, this face would be there as soon as you opened the door. And suddenly, whatever happened wouldn’t even matter.

A Tale of Two Sisters Part 2:
Here’s Mayla’s equally scruffy and adorable sister, who’s named Myla. Yeah, the names are kind of confusing. But they are two different dogs. Myla has a big white blaze on her chest. Mayla does not. Other than that, they look almost alike. Both weigh about 45 pounds. The sisters are 10 months old and are believed to be poodle/schnauzer crosses, commonly called schnoodles. But they could be something else. Myla is bright, observant and friendly. The sisters arrived labeled as a bonded pair. We are going to test that to determine whether they can be adopted separately. We don’t know for sure right now. But if you want to adopt both of them, feel free to go ahead and apply now!

Elvis has decided that no one read his memo, which clearly stated that Saturday mornings are for sleeping in. He says the ‘early to bed, early to rise’ philosophy is half wrong. The second half should be ‘rise at your choosing.’ And he chooses to still be snoozing. Elvis is a redbone hound mix, and he likes to take life easy. Very easy. He’s a wonderful, sweet and snuggly boy. Elvis is 8-months old and 81 pounds. He’s not tiny. He’s tall. And he naps.

Lucy Luna…a study in contrast. Her eyes don’t match, but her feet do. Her ears don’t always stand together. Each does what it wants, when it wants. Her coat has two colors from opposite ends of the spectrum…snowy white and obsedium black. Lucy shines like a diamond out in the sun, and her blue eye might have some sort of magical powers. Sometimes Lucy has the expression of a stern librarian. And sometimes, she has the little grin of a prankster. She’s always sweet and friendly, and she’ll catch your eye as soon as you walk into the room. Lucy hasn’t gotten much interest, and we’re afraid she’s starting to notice it. She’s a good girl, and her contrasts make her extra special!

Here’s something we haven’t done in at least a month of Sundays…a glamour shot! The pretty dog is Yoko. In this shot, the relaxed pose and that perfect smile take center stage. Honestly, this looks like a publicity shot. And maybe it is, because we sure are trying to find this baby a home. Yoko is a small hound mix. She’s 11 months old and weighs 35 pounds. She will probably top out around 40 pounds. Yoko is very personable…outgoing, friendly and sunny. And she’s a natural beauty. She didn’t have on a stitch of makeup in this shot. And look at her!

This is Snoop. And he has questions. Lots of them. He wants to know everything about you…right down to your shoe size and which breakfast cereal is your favorite. The boy needs information. And to be in your personal space, because he can’t get to know you from across the room. If you want a dog that is totally invested in you, Snoop is your boy. He’s a hunting dog mix…likely lab and some kind of pointer. He’s handsome, grounded and well-rounded. Friendly boy who does well with other dogs. Snoop is 9 months old and weighs 44 pounds. And he really is going to change somebody’s life for the better.

Watch where you step…looks like somebody spilled spots all over the floor. Oh wait…that’s Max, who is our spotted Catahoula mix. He has a gorgeous coat and a really sweet face. Max is 2 years old and weighs 62 pounds. He’s young and energetic but is good at heart. Max doesn’t have a clue that’s he’s not a teacup poodle. In his mind, he can be a purse dog. We are working on his manners and his commands, and the big guy is doing great!

Vander and his trainer, taking a quick timeout to pose for pictures. As cute and good as Vander is, he’s still not adopted. He’s a fine young man with a good head in his shoulders. He can and will outthink you. Vander is affectionate and willing to try just about anything. He’s a mixed breed, about 1 year old and 52 pounds. Vander might be in danger of getting overlooked and that would be a shame. He’s too good a boy for that to happen!
