Natural beauty….she’s right here in black and white. Goodness gracious and sakes alive, this girl is a stunner! Her name is Kyla, and she and two siblings were abandoned by their owner. Yeah, you try to figure it out. Because we never will. Kyla is a Great Pyrenees mixed with something that has black. Maybe a border collie. And maybe not. Mostly, though, she’s an attention hound. Kyla wants to be loved on and fawned over, and we don’t fault her for that. She has a thick, gorgeous coat, very dark eyes and a spotted tail that has an extra high wagging gear. Kyla fancies herself a lap dog, and she will do whatever she can to fulfill that goal. She’s 10-months old and weighs 56 pounds. Adult weight guesstimate, 65 pounds. Heads up, everyone, Kyla is a prize!

He’s named Critter. And we just happen to know what kind of critter he is. Critter is a dog critter. And a most handsome one, at that. He’s shiny and black like obsidian. He’s so shiny that he looks like someone just waxed him with the good wax. Critter is 4 years old and weighs 56 pounds. He’s smart, focused and a natural in front of the camera. Critter is a mix, and we aren’t sure what’s all in the mix. But he looks like an oversized Patterdale terrier. And, of course, black lab is always a possibility. Something tells me that this guy is going to excel in class. Everything about him points to an A+ student. And maybe class president!

He goes by Tamlin. An uncommon name for an uncommon lab mix. We say that because he doesn’t act like a typical young lab. Tamlin isn’t a bundle of electricity that shoots all over the place. He’s much more settled and reserved. He was dumped after hunting season and the shelter thinks his owner trashed him because he wouldn’t hunt. If that theory is right, that person is a cruel jerk. He missed out on having a great companion with a kind, gentle nature who just happens to have one of the state’s sweetest faces. Tamlin is definitely one to watch because he’s such a good boy!

Recently a topic came up that I know is often questioned and legal questions between and ESA (Emotional Support Animal) and Landlords. The links below contain information for state of Arkansas. Includes recently passed law and yearly renewal. This is not the same for service animals but there is some information provided in links below. Pettable is the number one recommended source in obtaining a legal standing ESA letter.

Understanding how to handle emotional support animals can be stressful, but not if you're informed on ESA laws and the application process!

Chewy needs our help. Young male Rottie who is deaf, and lives out of an apartment in Greenbrier. Chewy is now considered in danger by both possibly owner abuse and by community.

Chewy is often loose, and has always been a sweet sociial butterfly. Unfortunately, his behavior is changing and becoming aggressive and fearful of people, especially children. He is not safe to be running loose for protection of the community or for his sake.

Only recentlylearned, the reason for his changing behavior is due to reports of owners hitting and dragging him. Police report to be made, however, outcome very double edge sword.

Said, that owner would most likely surrender him. He will need a safe place to be fostered ( no kids or small pets for safety reasons) while needing training to be that sweet sociable guy again. Is anyone willing to help spread the word and help Chewy get out of this bad situation, where he is being setup for failure and avoid it costing him his life?

Jenn, the Hollywood Dog. Looks like she was made to be a superstar. Jenn is the whole package…beauty, personality, and brains. All wrapped in a thick, luxurious coat. She’s not adopted yet, but she should be. Jenn is a hybrid model, probably chocolate lab and something with pointy ears. She’s 2-years-old and weighs 60 pounds. Jenn is beautiful. All the way to the heart.

This pretty girl is a gem. A Ruby, in fact. Yep, this is Ruby the lab mix. And she’s precious. We’re talking smart, gentle, easy going, polite and soft. Ruby has just passed through the puppy stage. She’s 18-months-old and weighs 60 pounds. So, she’s on the smaller side for a lab mix. She’s also a latcher…meaning she sticks very close to her people. That’s partly due to nature and partly due to the fact that she was dumped by a pond and left all alone. Ruby does great with other dogs and doesn’t seem to have a grumpy bone in her body. Ruby is definitely one to watch!

JoJo has done a lot of thinking lately. She’s trying to figure out why she keeps getting overlooked. It happened in the shelter and it’s about to happen again. JoJo is about to graduate, and she doesn’t have anybody waiting on her. If you added up all the applications for you, the sum total, would be a big, fat zero. JoJo doesn’t get it. And neither do we. She’s a fine girl with lots of smarts and an easy personality. Maybe it’s because of her intense gaze. That doesn’t mean anything. It’s just the way she looks. JoJo is a pretty kelpie mix. She’s 2-years-old and probably weighs about 50 pounds. Somebody out there is looking for a dog just like JoJo. We need to hear from you. JoJo needs to hear from you. All this thinking she’s doing to figure out why no one has asked about can wreck a girl’s heart. .

Daisy has been a stray waiting for a rescue or adoptor since MAY 2023! Now at high risk for being put down by neighbors.

She orginally was from Fairfield bay shelter, adopted last April and dumped. No owner contact. she is already fixed, due for shots. Orginal shelter wont take her back and about 3 miles outside Clinton city limits to be taken in to their shelter. I provided her a dog house and straw this last winter which can go with her.

Her time is very limited
