Fatherโs Day Inspiration:
โWhat Kind Of Leader Are You?โ

I donโt know why, but I was compelled to do something a little different this Fatherโs Day for a devotional. I find myself at times trying to run from this โcallingโ Iโll refer to it as, to speak on certain topics out of fear or reluctancy of not being worthy of speaking on them for whatever reason. Iโve wrestled with this back and forth in the days leading up to today (Sunday/Fatherโs Day 2023). I decided to press forward with it and let the chips fall where they may.
Male leadership in his family, in this day and age, is becoming more and more necessary and important everyday that passes. The impact that can result from either good or great male leadership in his family, as well as bad, poor or nonexistent male leadership would blow your mind. There is evidence all around us of both scenarios, and how they are impacting our current society as a whole positively and negatively.
The definition of a leader is as follows:
โOne that leads or guides.
One who is in charge or in command of others.โ There is alot of responsibility placed on men to be effective leaders of their families, especially their wives and children. So much is riding on if the man of any household is an effective leader. If he isnโt good at leading, his wife or significant other might compete with him for that leadership role or responsibility. She may also lose, or not have any respect for him due to his lack of leadership. His children will go about their lives with little to no direction, which often leads them down paths resulting in pain, disappointment, and especially confusion.
However, a truly good male leaderโs success will flow effortlessly into his wife total submission and willingness to follow him without negative interferences. His daughters will not need to seek the attention of random males, trying to fill voids, that cannot be filled in that way. They will know exactly how they deserve to be treated by their boyfriends and future husband, and how to love and submit to a man correctly, allowing him to lead, as they had the blueprint laid out before them growing up. His sons will have a sense of pride and responsibility when they enter dating and especially marriage followed by, fatherhood, and being a leader, a provider and a protector will also come naturally due to the foundation they also had laid out before them. Both genders will know right from wrong and also know that breaking away from good moral and character standards or expectations, will result in consequences.
You can tell most of the time what kind of leader (if any) most people had growing up by how they act and behave as adults. However, itโs not totally true in every case. There are people who had the right type of leadership growing up and still ended up going down the wrong paths anyways. Most however, find their way back, as the foundation laid for them early on stuck with them. I would like to leave all the men with this question, โwhat type of leader are you?โ
