📣 Meet Max! 📣

He's a 2-year-old neutered goofball who's here to steal your heart (and maybe a treat or two). Max is a social butterfly and gets along with every dog he meets—he’s basically the life of the doggy party. Whether it's playing ball, tug-of-war, or just running around the yard like he’s training for the dog Olympics, Max is always up for some fun. He’s mastered the art of sitting and patiently waiting for his turn at treats, which honestly, is pretty impressive (even if he gives you those “Is it my turn yet?” puppy eyes). Max loves a good walk, and he's ready to turn his foster home into a thing of the past and find his forever family. Oh, and here’s the deal, by adopting Max, you’ll be saving another dog too! 🥭 MANGO UPDATE: some good news & some not so good news…

🧡 Mango is doing amazing as a momma! She’s gaining weight beautifully and caring for her four puppies all on her own, no more supplementing with formula! Huge milestone! Her little ones are thriving, gaining well, and have all opened their eyes. They’re even starting to stand up and take their first wobbly steps!

🪱 Unfortunately, as expected, Mango is heartworm positive. Given the horrific conditions she came from and the neglect she endured, it’s no surprise her previous owners never bothered with heartworm prevention, just as they never bothered to feed her. The worst part? There are still dogs in their care, likely being used to hunt while their hearts fill with worms. It’s disgraceful.

💊 Mango’s heartworm treatment will cost around $700, and will begin once she’s done nursing her babies. She will also need to be spayed.

🥭 Mango’s four puppies are growing fast and thriving! Blue/Fig is still our little porker, weighing in at an impressive 1101g this morning. Green/Melon, the tiniest of the bunch, is at 750g—small but steadily gaining just like he should. Red/Lychee boy is close behind Fig at 995g, and our sweet Yellow/Lemon girl is 864g. But the most exciting news on their two-week birthday? Little Yellow Lemon has opened her eyes! She’s ready to see all the love and warmth that comes with being part of the Rescue Tails family. 💕

💕 This Valentine’s Day, help us show love to the foster animals in our care! 💕

💗 Spaying and neutering is one of the most important acts of love we can give our rescued animals. Not only does it improve their health and quality of life, but it also plays a crucial role in reducing the overpopulation of dogs and cats. With so many homeless animals already struggling to find homes, preventing more unwanted litters is a step toward a brighter future for all.

💗 We’ve created a fundraiser through Zeffy to help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries for our current fosters: Wren, Noah, Leia, Regina, Bo, Neve, Storm, Frost, Blizz, Dwayne, Snow, and a kitten named Zombie—a total of at least $1,200 in veterinary care.

🐾 Remember Snow & Her Puppies! ❄️

On the evening South Carolina was hit with 6 inches of snow, this sweet mama and her puppies were rescued from the cold. Now, Snow and her little fluffs are safe, warm, and thriving in foster care!

Snow is an affectionate, friendly girl who loves people, other dogs, and even cats. She only weighs about 25 lbs—perfect for snuggles! She will need heartworm treatment and to be spayed, but she can be adopted now if her forever family is willing to take her to her appointments.

Her puppies—Neve (meaning “snow” in Italian), Blizz, and Storm—are now 9 weeks old and full of personality! These fluffy babies are playful, snuggly, and ready to bring joy to their future families. And great news—baby Frost has already been adopted by his foster family!

Donations towards their medical care are greatly needed and so appreciated. Snow’s heartworm treatment and spay, along with the care of her growing puppies, come at a significant cost. Every contribution helps us continue to save and care for dogs like Snow and her little ones.

🥭 Momma Mango & Her Little Fruit Bunch – One Week Old!

Our sweet Momma Mango and her four little fruits are celebrating a big milestone—the puppies are one week old today!

The pups are thriving and gaining weight! Fig (blue collar) is leading the pack at 652g, while our tiniest, Melon (green collar), weighs in at 486g. Lemon (yellow collar) and Lychee (red collar) are right in between, growing stronger each day.

Mango is doing her best as a mama, but she’s not producing enough milk to fully sustain her little ones, so we are continuing to supplement their feedings. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s learning to trust, eat at her own pace, and even walk on a leash—huge progress for this once-neglected mama.

Taking in a family of five is no small task, and we truly need your support to continue providing for them. From puppy formula to vet care, food, and supplies, every bit helps! If you’d like to contribute to their journey, we’d be so grateful.

Jackson, a stunning Dutch Shepherd mix puppy, is in need of a loving home, and we’re assisting a community member by sharing his story. He was rescued from a busy highway, and his finder has already had him vaccinated and neutered. Jackson is an intelligent, young dog—under a year old—who knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs but needs a home without cats.

🌈 Another sad post. Momma Mango’s little purple pup, Plum, crossed the rainbow bridge very early this morning. Just like her sister, she struggled to gain weight despite strict tube feedings. It was heartbreaking to hold Plum one last time so Mango could say goodbye—a painful reminder that dogs do grieve, and watching it unfold is devastating. Despite the loss, the four remaining pups are thriving, nursing well between their tube feedings and gaining weight significantly. Mango adores her babies and would love to care for them entirely on her own, and we can only hope that their presence helps heal her broken heart. 🌈
