Q: Do you take payment plans? A: Yes!

A: No, however we do accept both Scratchpay and Care Credit! Q: Do you offer euthanasia based off of convenience or behavioral issues? A: No, it is completely against our policy to euthanize for any reason other than medical issues that can not be managed. Q: Do you see exotics? We see a variety of exotics. Call us if you have questions on a specific pet. Q: What is your policy on admission appoin

tments? A: Admissions must be scheduled in advance and approved by the staff before checking in. Please call ahead of time to make an appointment! *New clients can not drop off any patients unless given special permission. Q: Do I have to do the preventative bloodwork and f***l panel with my annual wellness exam? A: Big yes!!! We practice the highest quality of preventative medicine here at St. Francis; and in order to do so we must monitor your pet's heartworm, parasite, and major organ function on an annual basis. These panels are also required in order to dispense prescription heartworm/flea & tick prevention every year. Q: What vaccines are required for boarding? A: For dogs- Distemper, Bordetella, CIV, and Rabies
For cats- Feline Distemper, Leukemia, and Rabies

**These vaccines are also required for any drop off appointments such as baths, dentals, or general exams. Please call us if you have any questions on this policy.

Many people have asked for an update on Venus, our lovely friend from Conway Animal Welfare Unit. So here it is! 🐶

We have sponsored Venus’s heartworm treatment and she is staying with us while she goes through the process. It’s a long journey (a few months to be exact!) but rest assured, she’s getting tons of love, treats, and all the attention she deserves.

We will share a more detailed post once her treatment is complete, but for now, just know she is in good hands and thriving! 💖

Venus is one of our longest and sweetest residents. She came to us pregnant and gave birth to 11 sweet babies! She was in foster care during her child rearing days and has been back with us for a couple of months. Venus appears to have Collie and Shepherd features and loves to play when we have group play! She is looking for a family to call her own and we would love to see her start the new year strong! Come see Venus and give her some love!

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the clinic
The phones were all silent, if just for a minute;
The stockings were hung by the kennels with care,
In hopes that Santa Paws soon would be there.
The clinic cats were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of chasing mice danced in their heads.
Dr. Stone in her scrubs and her surgical cap,
Had just settled down with some gifts to wrap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
She sprang from her chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the window, she flew like a sprite
Opened the window and turned on the light
When, what to her wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer,
And a little old driver, with fur like clean gauze
Dr. Stone knew instantly it must be Santa Paws.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And on each harness was embroidered their name
“That’s Dasher! And Dancer!, That’s Prancer and V***n!
Oh and Comet, Cupid, Donder, and Blitzen!.”
So up to the clinic top, the reindeer they glided,
With a sleigh full of goodies, Santa Paws should have been excited,
Before Dr. Stone could take a step more,
Santa Paws had walked himself through the door.
Poor Santa Paws, he did seem a bit low,
And even had some discharge from the nose,
He looked very ill and green in the face,
And sat himself down next to the warm fireplace,
He took a big breath and gave a final “Achoo!”
And Dr. Stone knew, he must have canine flu!
She spoke not a word but went straight to her work,
And administered his medications with a small little smirk,
She knew what was wrong and sent him to bed,
And Santa Paws knew he had nothing to dread,
He snoozed like a baby and then woke after a spell,
And Dr. Stone said “you look, like you feel well.”
He barked very merrily and his tail began to wag,
He trotted to the door and picked up his toy bag,
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a bark
And away they all flew, off into the dark.
But Dr. Stone did exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night.”
