CCE - Did You Know?
TRAINING COMPETITIONS & ACCREDITED COMPETITIONS
Both categories use the standard CCEA Rules, but Training Competitions may include additional Allowances which provide increased flexibility and options. Training Competition requirements include lower minimums for parameters such as course distance, obstacle counts or required officials, making CCE competitions viable at smaller venues with fewer resources. Training Competitions are restricted to the simpler Classes of competition with only one Stage, and will rarely go beyond Level 5.
Accredited Competitions do not include any CCE Allowances and adhere to the standard CCEA Rules. Accredited Competitions have Classes with one, two or three Stages, and include all Levels. A CCE that has an Expanded Cross Country Ride (ECCR) Stage or runs over multiple days will always be an Accredited Competition.
Both categories are used for qualifying and eligibility, but Training Competitions have a lower valuation. In many cases it is possible to gain eligibility via acceptable results from Training Competitions.
