Meet your sitter 👋

Hey! I’m Desiré and I’m the owner of Upper Cumberland House Sitting & More 🐶🏠

Some fun facts about me:

- I have an almost 5 year old boy, and an almost 2 year old husky with a super loving fiancé I get to marry next November
- We absolutely love meeting new people and their fur babies! We like to go to the dog park to do so and our Meet & Greets give us that opportunity, too!
- I love a good cup of coffee ☕️

I created this business to be able to work side by side with my brother, who is also a part time sitter and has helped a lot. Not only teaching him some things I’ve learned about running a business but also getting us both out there to make new amazing connections with people.

I also have realized the need for an in (your) home sitter for some pets who struggle with anxieties going to new places like a boarding facility. Sometimes getting last minute required shots and trusting several different people can be a daunting thing for both you and your pets. With us you get a family owned house and pet sitting business whose main priority is integrity and reliability.

Hi everyone! It’s been a bit since I’ve posted on here and I wanted to give you a quick life update:

I have started a new career in real estate and took some time off from this account to try and focus on that. Things have been going great and I now feel like I’m back in a place to be able to post to you all regularly. We’re back and better than ever, ready to meet some new friends!

It's a lot of fun to feed the ducks and geese at our city parks, but we need to be mindful of WHAT we feed them. Bread, crackers, and potato chips are junk food for waterfowl. They offer little nutritional value and can actually cause painful health problems for our feathered friends.

So what can you feed them instead? Try bringing sliced grapes, frozen peas, bird seed, or uncooked rice or rolled oats the next time you want to feed the water birds.
