Meet Reeq (A008345)… a 1 year old male German Shepherd/Husky mix who had an unfortunate run-in with a skunk🦨 before making his way to the shelter. We don’t know much about his past, but one thing is very clear: Reeq had never seen a Benebone before in his life 🤣 He also does not seem to know much about squeaky toys, but that’s okay- he is still young and has plenty of time to learn!Reeq is enthusiastic and sweet. He can be a little head shy, especially around new people, so we believe he would do best in a home without small children. We cannot understand how Reeses Puff (A006962) is passed by day after day🤯 Reeses Puff is a 9 month old male black lab mix with unique spots on his tongue and an adorable white patch on his chest. He is a slender fellow weighing in at only 44 lbs. His previous owner reported that he was housetrained and, based on observations, we believe that he likely still is. He keeps his kennel very neat. He has been friendly and gentle towards children of all ages. Reeses Puff has been at the shelter before and he is not fond of it (who can blame him though?!). He was surrendered due to the owner moving. Because he has experienced life outside of the shelter, he is desperate to get out and goes to great lengths in an attempt to grab the attention of potential adopters. Hi! My name is Niagara and I was found as a stray. I am a female, about 1.5 years old, and the shelter staff believes I am a Mountain Cur mix. I am neat in my kennel, so they think it’s possible that I was Housetrained at one time. I know “sit” and I’m so proud of myself every time I do it on command😚 I am an ATHLETE and a professional when it comes to playing fetch. It’s my absolute favorite!! I may seem like I have a lot of energy, but part of that is just from being cooped up in a kennel for weeks now. I would love to go on walks, hikes, or runs. I like stuffed squeaky toys and I’m very gentle with them. I play with my stuffed bear toy everyday and I have never tried to destroy it.
