Today we walked to honor Slip's memory and his battle with Pancreatic Cancer, at the annual PanCan Purple Stride event held at Como Park. It was a nice day and lots of walkers turned out to help raise money for research and education, plus support services for those who are affected by this disease. If you'd like to donate to the cause, you can do so on the PanCan Purple Stride site.

Since we have closed Slip's Sharpening, I get alot of inquiries about who to use for Sharpening shears and clipper blades. Here's a couple of suggestions, American Sharpening in Richfield or Legacy Werkx out of Clear Lake MN (mail in only). I heard about this one from another groomer. His phone

It was so nice to see the number of people that attended the Celebration of Life on Sunday for Slip. It was an amazing afternoon of fellowship, sharing memories, and a Honor Guard ceremony to honor his time served in the Air Force. Friends, family, and clients all gathered to show their love and support for this man.
Thanks to each and everyone of you who joined us to celebrate a life well lived.

I wanted to thank all of you that stopped by during the 3 Day Sale. It was great to see customers from years past, and the new faces in the industry now. The love and support I have gotten from our Slip's Sharpening customers and the community has been amazing.

Wed Oct 16th, Slip passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital after a grueling battle with pancreatic cancer. He was one of the oldest sharpeners in MN. having spent 30+ years in the sharpening industry. He will be greatly missed.

Update: With a heavy heart, we must close our business. Our master sharpener Slip, is no longer able to work due to his cancer diagnosis. We thank each of you for your business over the years, we have enjoyed meeting you, and taking care of your sharpening needs. Please check back here for information on our Inventory Reduction Sale. We still have lots of blades, clippers, and some shears in stock that need to go.
