Donate to Animal Humane Society and help Dilla find his fresh start!

Dilla entered our care with swollen puncture wounds all over his neck and face. The worst of these injuries was his eye, which required surgery to prevent further infection. Crusted with blood and debris, this 2-year-old pup was clearly in a lot of pain.

But despite the severity of his condition, Dilla showed himself to be an exceptionally sweet boy. He met every new visitor with a wagging tail, playfully army crawling around his run. His wounds — consistent with those seen in dog fights — hadn't diminished his loving spirit at all.

Earlier this week, Animal Humane Society welcomed several puppies and kittens through local transport. Today, some of these little ones are already stepping onto the adoption floor, ready to begin their next chapter. We are so excited for Goulash, Granola, Bert, and many more as they begin their new lives. 🐾

An animal lover found 6-month-old Miss Mim in their garage dehydrated and limping. Knowing she needed help, they turned to Animal Humane Society, where our skilled veterinary team discovered she had a fractured hip and leg — a complex injury for an animal that isn’t fully grown.

Though she was a little wobbly after her surgery, she was up and ready to play long before her stitches were. One week after surgery, Miss Mim met her new best friend and started her next chapter.

Several adorable puppies and kittens just arrived from a local transport partner. 🐶 Through Animal Humane Society’s transport program, AHS welcomes many local dogs to our shelter each year.

When animals in overcrowded shelters across the state have nowhere else to go, AHS can provide them with a second chance because of the generous support of our animal loving community.
