Would you like to start competing in the ranch horse classes? Are you looking for ways to improve your circles, spins, stops and lead changes? Have you shown some and want to improve your score?

Then this clinic is for you!

September 21st - 9 am to 4 pm

Join Wells Performance Horsemanship at Whispering Oaks Farm & Ranch in Cooper, TX to learn from an American Stock Horse Association judge and coach of the Texas A & M-Commerce Stock Horse Team. Clinic starts at 9 am and ends with a mock show which will allow you to complete a pattern and review your score with the clinician.

Topics include the following:
- Warming up your horse for competition
- Riding perfect circles with speed and
precision
- Pattern placement
- Proper form and training for the spin and
rollbacks
- Stopping exercises
- Exercises for beginning the lead change and
improving lead changes
- Judging procedure for the class

Contact Nathan Wells via Wells Performance Horsemanship on Facebook or 903-440-3630 to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 6 participants to ensure each rider receives one on one instruction. Clinic cost is $250 per rider. A $125 deposit is required to reserve your spot.

Congratulations to Teagan Kallus riding HR Gwendas Susie for winning the 2 year old futurity and being the highest placing paint in the 2 year old futurity at the Texas State 4H Horse Show.

We survived the first of our "Friday Night Arena Lights" summer series! It was hot, but it cooled down to a nice evening with a comfortable breeze. Thank you to all the folks that came and rode with us! Everyone saw lots of improvements in themselves and their horses! Please note the new start time of 7 pm for our next two sessions; July 12th and August 16th. This should give everyone a little more time to get there after work and we all know that the Texas summer is just going to get hotter!!

This was a great time and met some new folks! Thank you Belle!

We had the most AMAZING time yesterday morning here at Bar Double G Arena for our clinic with Nathan Wells and Wells Performance Horsemanship (One of the VERY BEST)! We worked on multiple aspects of horsemanship and finished with some really fun flag work! THEN a little lunch and swim after to beat the heat! Great times! Big thank you to all who came and participated! Working on the next one now. Let me know if you'd like to come! 🥰

Surround yourself with people…

With people that loosen their cinch and pat their horse when they get off.

With people that put the grocery store cart back and hold the door open with a smile.

With people who might throw their hat under your horse but will also go catch ‘em if you don’t stick it.

With people that will keep a slot empty in the trailer for your horse and a seat empty at the table for you.

With people that tip the waitress and their hat at others.

With people that show their c**ts and kids a soft but firm hand.

With people that push you for success but also sit with you in your failures.

With people that open their bibles, hearts and homes.

You can only be as good as your company so be careful whose house you hang your hat up at
