This meme is an accurate representation of the arts/science of taxidermy and maybe life.

You can have all the right supplies and tools, go through the same steps, but be a little off on technique and get different results. This picture means more to me than most. I lived this photo 100 times over working alone in the shop. Networking with other professionals often covers where to source materials and what steps to take. But again, the slightest mishap in technique can completely change the end result.

But I always keep coming back! The feeling of of things once things “click” is satisfying. But the best feeling yet is helping another person work through those same obstacles and sharing with them the lessons you learned.

We don’t always preserve hunting memories and hunting trophies. Sometimes we help mend a broken heart and replace some of the void of a lost family pet/member. I can’t tell you how awesome it is to see clients shed happy tears when seeing what once roamed their pasture, resurrected back to life.
