We're excited to announce that Sam Stocking and Korey the Kanine have joined Zoomies! They will be sharing FEAR-FREE, FORCE-FREE DOG TRAINING tips on a regular basis. Sam believes in positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning, training dogs to learn good behavior in positive ways.

Sam was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes at the age of 4. By her early 20’s, her diabetes became more and more challenging to manage. She stopped sensing when her blood sugar was too high or too low until it was already at a dangerous level.
She tried Continuous Glucose Monitors that will alarm you if your blood sugar reaches a certain level. However, technology is often faulty, plus Sam & her husband are deep sleepers.
After several scares in the middle of the night, Sam decided to get a Diabetic Alert Dog. Korey, a Labrador Retriever, came into the lives in July of 2019. Sam taught Korey to sense her blood sugar levels and alert her if she is in danger. Sam now offers an affordable program for those with Type 1 Diabetes who want to train their own dog.
