Casey is simply stunning and such a loving boy BUT HE STILL NEEDS A FOSTER HOME! He is in a temporary spot but they are leaving town on 9/6 so we have to find a spot for him! He will have to complete Heartworm treatment before adoption.

Casey is currently with another male dog … he needs to be introduced correctly but he plays with Otis now. He went over to another fosters and met several dogs and did well with some of them. His temp foster is awesome and will certainly help him acclimate to a new spot.

Please someone consider giving Casey a chance because boarding would be crushing for him as he was definitely someone’s pet before. Oh, and he’s housetrained!

Harlowe is a gorgeous seasoned lady who arrived from the Laredo shelter recently and she is just the best. She is looking for a forever home and she’s all things great about adopting a little older pet!

Sugar is having a blast in her foster home but her goal for the week is finding her forever home! This adorable 7 to 8 month old cutie is such a fun girl as she loves playing with the other pups in her foster home. She is also a snuggle bug as soon as her foster mom or dad gets in their chair.

If anyone would like to donate to help Leo’s family with this very unexpected expense we will add a donate button and our PayPal and Venmo links are . They are currently looking at a minimum vet bill of $4200 for treatment until tomorrow morning when he can be transferred to a regular vet for additional care. Please note for “Leo” if you donate to his care.

Update- Leo’s family is in touch with the emergency vet. Please say a prayer for his recovery and that they are able to find their other dog who is still missing.

Received a call last night at 12:30 that a Good Samaritan had picked up a dog in Irving that was rolled by a car. The microchip was still registered to RT4P but no current owner info and the dog was not wearing any identification.

Received another wake up call at 6am this morning that the dog’s condition is worse than initially diagnosed and of course it’s a holiday so we can’t transfer to any of our regular vets. The emergency vet says it will run $3000 to $3500 for his treatment for the next 24 hrs.

Still no contact with owner so hoping maybe they will see it on here!

Ok …. We have a foster home for 2 pups from this litter of 6! We desperately want to get the whole litter on transport tomorrow…. CAN SOMEONE HELP WITH 2 pups or all 4? They are small and have had one vaccine.

Would anyone help us help them? The momma dog went missing so these pups desperately need rescue help. We provide food, puppy pen or crate, and all vet care.

How in the world is Harvey still looking for a forever family? He’s a 45 lb “lapdog” who is playful and full of personality. He is so unusual with his spots on one ear, mask on one side of his face, and those adorable short squatty legs that we all adore!

Harvey is fully vetted, housetrained, crate trained, and he currently shares a foster home with other dogs and the resident cat. Harvey does love playing so a home with a medium to large dog to play tug-o-war with sounds perfect to him.

How cute is this new girl? She’s going to need a foster late Monday afternoon if we can get her on transport to DFW!

She is approximately 6 months old, super friendly, and was being given away by her owner. Sad how disposable pets are to some people but we will ensure she gets a loving forever home next time!

Lyric is a super friendly, social little girl. She looks really tall in her photo but she only weighed 7 lbs at her last vet visit. She is like “Miss Congeniality” in her foster home because everyone loves her. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes, and pays no attention to the kitty.

She is still a pup so her adopter will need patience and understanding that she still needs help with potty and crate training. She is a smart girl though so it shouldn’t be too hard!

She loves to play with toys but she also loves attention. She will seek out attention from her foster family and give them kisses!

Haiku is 6 lbs of adorable! He loves to nuzzle his head into his foster mom’s neck for snuggles and he loves to be held and petted. This little guy is really such a sweetheart!

He currently lives in a home with other dogs, cats he doesn’t seem to notice, and older kids. He is still a young pup so he will need patience with potty and crate training.

Garfield is such a love… just ask our friends at CityVet- Coppell ! He has gotten plenty of snuggles and he absolutely loves it!

Garfield is approximately 3 months old and looking for his forever home. He was found on the side of an expressway in South TX but being unwanted sure didn’t dampen his spirit or personality. He is super sweet and will be a wonderful addition as an inside kitty to literally any home!

STILL NEEDS FOSTER TODAY!!!! Urgent

CAN ANYONE WATCH HIM TOMORROW (Friday) til Sunday???

Why, oh why is it so difficult to find a foster for a bigger dog? Poor Casey was owner surrendered, scheduled to die and we couldn’t let that happen …. so now here we sit with a dog with no foster!

He is HOUSETRAINED, and he is finally eating a little bit … poor guy had so many changes so he wasn’t eating. He will need to go thru Heartworm treatment which we cover but he needs a place to feel safe and secure while he does the treatment. We cannot stand the thought of him sitting in boarding with hardly any loving because he does love attention.

Please consider giving Casey a chance… he desperately needs a foster ASAP

Laredo is overcrowded and has implemented a new rule that any dog there longer than 18 days can be euthanized. Cher has been there over 30 days … 😞

Ok we are officially begging … we really need to get this little family on transport tomorrow… can anyone help?

Momma and her 4 tiny babies that were found under a house got to spend the weekend with a shelter volunteer and we really hope she can get on transport in the morning instead of going back to the shelter. Momma is dog friendly and about 35 lbs. Her babies are super easy because right now all they need is mom.

PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING … Casey is going to have to go back to boarding this week if we can’t find a place for him!

We have the most beautiful Husky fella who arrived last Monday that is still looking for a foster home. Casey had a bath at our vet, was vaccinated, but unfortunately he tested positive for Heartworms.

He has wonderful house manners and is as sweet as he can be. He doesn’t understand why he was dumped at a shelter but soon he will understand he is safe now.

Would anyone consider fostering Casey for us while we get him treated for Heartworms? We cover vet care and supplies but we think the most relaxing place for him during treatment would be a home without other dogs.

Look at the difference a week makes….

Doughboy was living in South TX where he was abandoned by his owner. Thankfully a neighbor was feeding him and his buddy Blake until Road Trip 4 Paws learned about them and rescued them both. That's when his transformation began into this beautiful hunk of a loving dog. We believe he is a Brussels Griffin mix, he’s approximately 5 yrs old and weighs 21 lbs.

He loves playing with the other foster dogs, giving his foster Mom sweet kisses and keeping his kennel clean. He's learning to be an inside pup as we believe due to the fleas and dirt on his arrival he spent his time outdoors.

This adorable momma has been thru so much this past week but now she is finally reunited with her babies! Thankfully the Donna shelter and their volunteers (Sandra) were persistent and went the extra mile or the ending would have been very different.

We would love to save them and get them into a safe, loving foster home … could anyone foster starting next Monday? They can catch a ride on The Bare Bus Rescue Transport.

Blackie (L) and Selah (R) are looking for forever homes! These 2 sisters are so precious, personable, snuggly, and they love everyone! They arrived from South TX from a litter of 7 pups born to a street dog mom.

They are currently around 4 months old. Their mom weighs about 30-35 lbs do we expect them to be medium in size when full grown!

Sometimes things do not go according to our plan… Buddy had a very excited foster family waiting to meet him last night when he arrived however it turns out the resident dog not so much. Buddy was fine to our knowledge prior to this with other dogs but WE NEED TO MOVE HIM ASAP… because the two dogs are not ok with each other.

We really don’t want to put him in boarding since he just spent a week in the shelter kennel and then a week in boarding. Would anyone give Buddy a chance? He is already neutered … even if it is a temporary foster spot it will help!

Sometimes (well lots of times) there’s a dog you just have a really good feeling about. Then… you find out she was owner surrendered so her time is very limited. Then… you see a post that it’s her last day so you “jump arms flailing with no plan” and put her in boarding for a week until transport (and you can make a plan).

NOW… we need help with a plan! This sweet, dog friendly girl needs to come on transport Monday to DFW. Only thing we are missing is a foster home! Would anyone consider giving this girl a spot? She is already spayed and we provide food, crate, and vet care.

It’s always so fun to see these deserving South TX pups arrive from dire situations like Blake who was left behind with his fur buddy when his owners moved. Amazing the difference less than a week has made for him! He is settling into his foster home and he loves human affection.

He is approx 3 years old, fully vetted, 13 lbs and he is working hard on learning to be an indoor pup as we believe due to the dirt and fleas on arrival he spent his time outdoors.
Thank you to The Bare Bus Rescue Transport for getting Blake to us and to Bonnie Crossland for overnighting him and getting him to the vet. Thank you to his outstanding foster Diane Beaver for helping out in a pinch!

They go together like peanut butter and jelly, baseball and hot dogs, and hugs and kisses! Foster now forever dad Doug Berkel and Otis… a match made in heaven!

Doug is the most awesome foster! After the loss of his personal dog he stepped up to foster and has since fostered quite a few dogs for us including Otis. However, Doug knew Otis was special and he wanted to be his forever home! Needless to say we could not be happier for them both!

Otis came from South TX where he and a female dog were dumped at a high kill shelter. The owners kept the puppies and dumped “the parents.” Since we took the puppies we were not going to leave mom and dad behind so that’s how Otis became a RT4P pup!

He is DEFINITELY without a doubt living his best life now! Way to go Otis!

Bo loves attention and would love to be someone’s new best friend. He loves his foster family, thoroughly enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home and doesn’t even mind the resident kitty.

Bo is approximately 3 years old and just under 9 lbs. He was saved from a high kill shelter in South TX .. crazy how a pup this adorable ended up in a shelter but he is safe now, all vetted, and ready for a forever home!
