Doesn’t the name Squirrel just scream fun?

Squirrel and his 4 siblings arrived recently at RT4P and the whole litter is super cute! They are approx 3.5 months old and Squirrel weighs about 15 lbs. We expect them to be medium in size when full grown.

Squirrel allows his fosters to hold him like a baby and give him belly rubs. He also likes chewing on fingers like puppies tend to do. He's very content in a lap just being petted. He has beautiful light green eyes. He definitely desires being loved by a human and would make a great companion.

The owners did not want to part with the pups mom and dad but they have since been spayed and neutered. We are always happy to contribute to vetting to help end the cycle of litters. Win- Win

Now we just need to find Squirrel and his siblings their forever homes!

Any medical fosters who could watch Lucy overnight? She has been having seizures and is at our vet in Frisco but it’s not really safe for her to stay there overnight.

If we go to the ER we will rack up another big bill and we just need meds to have time to work.

Ok folks… we are in need of foster homes or adopters…. PREFERABLY ADOPTERS!

We have several pups who need a new foster home due to travel plans and home remodel projects. They are all great pups and approx 20 lbs.

Ellie is simply adorable! She arrived from South TX very pregnant and shortly after gave birth to the cutest litter of pups. Ellie has since been spayed, and treated for heartworms so she is now healthy and ready for a home of her own.

She is the perfect size around 20 lbs, housetrained, and crate trained although she is 100% trustworthy so crating isn't really ever necessary. She is pretty much a perfect little angel who loves everyone. Her breed is a guess but the breed locator said she looks like a Cavalier King Charles spaniel but once again that is strictly a guess. She is approximately 3.5 years old.

Marmalade is living her best life! This “Little Rascals” gang member found her forever home and she is loved and spoiled already!

She arrived from Laredo Animal Care Services with her mom and 5 siblings and she is proving all those theories about black dogs getting adopted last wrong! She let her amazing little personality shine and now she has a forever family to call her own!

Coco arrived a few months ago in typical South TX fashion… unaltered and Heartworm positive. Thankfully his foster family was patient with the process because it was all worth the wait seeing him recently with his new forever family!

We received the following update today and we are just thrilled for Coco!

“He is just an awesome dog. So loving and gets along well with our other dog. He loves playing and spends a lot of his day staring out the front and back window and policing the neighborhood! We so appreciate the opportunity to have him!”

Jade was born on 7/19/24 so she got an Olympic gold medal name!. She definitely takes after her namesake too because she has such a winning personality. She is a small girl who is house and crate trained.

Jade has watched her mom Paris and all her siblings find their forever homes so she is clearly wondering when it will be her turn! She currently shares her foster home with dogs of all sizes and a resident barn cat so we think she will be a wonderful addition to prettty much any home!

11 lbs of cuteness just made his way to RT4P and his name is Pip! He is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E….. and he’s very friendly too! He loves to play and is great with the kids and resident pup in his foster home.

He is approximately 2 years old and already neutered. Pretty much nothing standing between this sweet boy and a forever home.… so let’s get those applications rolling in for him!

Thor (in his new dad’s arms) found his forever home recently! He is so loved already by his new parents and fur buddy.

Thor arrived with his sister Xena from South TX and they are the cutest little duo. It’s no surprise Thor found a family to call his own because his foster family kept saying “someone better adopt these pups or we are keeping them!” Clearly they are easy to love so we are so happy for Thor!

$5287.59 was Nona’s total vet bill…. There was no way to avoid the ER on Saturday and Sunday but we were able to move her to Custer Rd Animal Hospital on Monday morning. She was on/off oxygen with severe pneumonia and even when she went home yesterday her breathing was not normal. We are hopeful with continued meds and supportive care she will keep improving.

Displaced puppy found during the South TX torrential downpour … there is transport to DFW on Tuesday if anyone wants to foster this little cutie!

His little freckled nose is just the cutest … and his eyes will make you melt. Thank goodness he was found near a ranch and is temporarily safe.

STILL NEED A FOSTER

Three 4 week old pups came into the shelter with no mom. Definitely no place for puppies so would anyone like to foster?

We will work on transport from the RGV to DFW if we can find a committed foster!

They look like little fluff balls but since they came in alone we are unsure of their breed.

Ben had been at Coppell Animal Services for several months and whether it was his positive Heartworm status or his large size we aren’t sure why he had not caught anyone’s eye. Ben is simply the best and thankfully he DID catch the eye of our awesome photographer friend Tracy. Tracy and her hubby decided they would help Ben out so we tagged him and over several months he received Heartworm treatment. Ben was spoiled going on car rides, trips to the farmers market, and lots of wonderful photos! Ben has now found his forever home and this photo is the best of them all with his forever family!
