This Christmas, we show you a glimpse of our reality. It’s 12:48 Christmas morning. We just got done wrapping and prepping and now it’s time to clean up the house and reset for tomorrow. 🥱

Three rescue dogs. L-R Buddy, Marcie, and Bentley. Two of them in shelter environments until last week, and the third previously iffy with other dogs. Marcie wouldn’t come inside the house for hours on her first day, and Bentley has clearly never been a loved pet. So, what looks like a mess to you is beautiful to us. ❤️

Whatever you celebrate, we wish you wonderful holidays. ❤️

Gotta go get the kids to bed. Santa’s on his way!

Phew! We are incredibly busy and want to thank you guys for trusting us with your most treasured things in the world! ❤️

We are packed. Full to the brim. One more dog, and they may take over.

We can’t let that happen. We must stay kinda sorta in charge. So we are calling it a year and simply can’t take any more bookings until after the holidays.

Thanks for filling our home and our hearts. ❤️

If you’ve been following us, you know that we’ve been on a mission to find adoptive homes for some of our longer-term FOAC rescue dogs.

We are so proud to show off Rosa’s happy beginning! Three adoptions, three returns, and 14 months of trying finally resulted in the perfect family finding her. ❤️ congrats to Rosa! 🥹

NEW SOFT TREAT RECIPE!

We’ve finally found a recipe for Doobie Zoobie CBD treats that stay soft and are packed with goodness!

Our soft recipe is granola-bar similar, containing homemade peanut butter, oats, flax seed, carob chips (yes dogs can eat these!), turmeric, pumpkin purée, a touch of spirulina, and high quality CBD oil. Because the ingredients are fresh/no preservatives, these treats must be refrigerated or frozen.

Our biscuit recipe still exists for the crunchers. ☺️

Hard biscuits: $15/bakers dozen
Soft treats: $20/bakers dozen

Treats need to be picked up in Copper and we need a few days’ lead time.

We’ve figured Chance out
We’ve figured Chance out

We have some new information on Chance, our sweet Pitbull that tends to fight with other dogs. We took him out for a play session/photo op. Hoping to get photos of him running and playing. He wasn’t having it. He had a job to do. He had to help his foster dad! We’ve finally figured him out. Chance will fight for resources. Period. A resource can be food, a toy, and yes…human attention. Observe as Scott is doing yard cleanup. Chance is a dedicated helper, wanting to be right by his side. He was completely unphased by the other dogs, even when they barked at him. He had his person. There’s nothing to fight for. Chance STILL needs to be an only pet. We feel like he’d be a perfect companion for an older person who is looking for a sidekick to putz around with. He’s absolutely calm, loving, and attentive as long as he doesn’t have to share. Please, someone must know someone? Chance needs a home. He’s a good boy and in fact would be perfect for a lonely homebody. Friends of the Animal Community will waive his adoption fee. Let’s get him home. He has waited for so long and his time is running out.
