Every one meet Bunny, Kit, and Fawn, these three girls along with their brother who tragically did not make it, were dropped off here Friday afternoon. The men who abandoned these lovely babies had made an appointment for a wellness check for them, at arrival the sat the kittens on our reception counter and left! With that being said these girls are in need of vetting as well as the other two kittens we took in. In order to give all these babies the best possible care and opportunity to find a loving forever home we are asking for donations to help fund their vaccinations, a snap combo test to check for FIV and FELV, and eventually spays. We want to thank everyone in advance and keep an eye out on updates!!

Here’s a behind the scenes clip of how our dental scaler works. The metal tip you see uses electromagnetic forces that courses through the unit and causes its tiny tip to vibrate rapidly. The vibrations are so fast (about 25,000 to 45,000 times per second) that they fall into the ultrasonic range. With its vigorous, repetitive motion, the tip is easily able to break up hardened deposits on the tooth without damaging it.The ultrasonic scaler can rapidly remove tough stains and tartar. The tool's tip moves so quickly that it must be cooled by a constant stream of liquid, a process called lavage. Besides keeping the tip from overheating, lavage constantly flushes debris away from the area under treatment. And it has an additional benefit: As water passes the vibrating tip, it creates millions of tiny bubbles, an effect called cavitation. This has been shown effective in rupturing the walls of bacterial cells and disrupting the favored environment of harmful bacteria. The tarter you see in the video could not be removed by hand or with a tooth brush. It’s amazing how fast our dental scaler breaks through tough tarter, leaving behind pearly white teeth! *Owner gave permission to use* Grade 1 maintenance cleaning/polishing with digital X-rays.
