January was off to a rocky start with 5 inches of snow on our usual transport day (which was rescheduled). Thank you to Miss Wanda & Michael for driving the transport van to Briggs Adoption Center in W. Virginia and then to Staunton, Virginia to meet Operation Paws for Homes fosters. Fingers crossed that the weather cooperates for our next winter transports!

One of our former Midsouth rescue dogs, Abigail, who went to our rescue partner, Operation Paws for Homes is competing in this year, and the Pupularity Playoffs competition has begun! Our last transport for 2024! Thanks to Midsouth volunteers Miss Wanda & Rhonda for driving these 2 pups to Jasper, AL. where RUFF Rescuers United For Furbabies transported them to Newberry, SC where the SaveDog Project took over and then drove them to the Mid-Atlantic where Operation Paws for Homes fosters will foster them and help find their forever homes. That's a lot of incredible team work! Wishing everyone a HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!

It's been a busy month for Midsouth! Thank you to Miss Wanda & Michael for driving 1300 miles round trip to save 19 dogs and a cat to the Animal Rescue Project in Kalamazoo, Michigan (thankfully the weather cooperated!). We're grateful to all of the volunteers and fosters that make saving these animals a reality. Team work makes the dream work!

Shout out of thanks to Southern Puppy Rescue who was already transporting some of their rescue dogs north and since they had room, they graciously transported 6 of our dogs to the Briggs Animal Adoption Center in Charles Town, W. Virginia this past Sat. We appreciate you so much!

Thank you to Miss Wanda & Michael for driving the transport van all the way to Springfield, Virginia and gratitude to all of the Operation Paws for Homes fosters & volunteers that picked up your rescue fosters (many of you have a long commute and brrr, it was cold!)! Special thanks to Joe & Tyler from the SaveDog Project for transporting some of the pups to Pikesville, Maryland. Teamwork makes the dream work! OPH, we appreciate all of the donated supplies too! Midsouth volunteer, Miss Wanda stays busy bottle feeding the pups while in transport north to our shelter partner, Operation Paws for Homes (OPH) where an amazing OPH Foster will take over to foster them (thank you Miss Valerie!) and get them ready for loving forever homes in the Mid-Atlantic. Teamwork makes the dreamwork (And thanks to Michael for driving the transport van!).
