Our 2017 Gen 3 litter was the last litter for Starbright Goldens. It had been our intent to offer Zayah, of the Gen 3 May Flowers 3 litter, for stud service. Unfortunately Zayah has developed some rather severe seasonal allergies. Because of this, it would not be responsible to breed him. We continue to be a central sharing spot for news and information about our three generations of Starbright G

oldens. It has been a true pleasure creating the community that is Starbright Goldens. We are honored to be a part of so many families over the years.

We began our Starbright Golden Journey 20 years ago today with a litter of 12 puppies we affectionately labeled our “Hot August Night” puppies. Oh the things we learned about life and Golden puppies from those 12 sweet babies in the 8 to 12 weeks they spent with us!

We welcomed the "two girls and too many boys" into the Starbright Golden Family so many years ago. Now they are settled in for tournament time and birthday celebrations from above!✨

It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of another of our Gen 2 Fireworks 2012 girls, dear sweet Pearl. She recently reunited with litter mates Reno, Otis, Tawny, Lizzy, Marley boy, Barney and Josie, as well as (2010) siblings Shiloh, Sienna, Jake, Marley girl, Peeka and young Connor.
Pearl joins far too many Starbright Angels gathered at the Rainbow Bridge.
They include her siblings mentioned earlier, mother Sunny, daddy Gus, Granma Honey, Great Granpa Star and oh so many aunts and uncles.
Pearl goes on ahead of her few remaining Starbright Fireworks litter sisters: Bella, Sage, and Tasha.
Safe Home Pearl, after almost 12 years of love and cuddles. Sending much love, comfort and support to sweet Pearl’s people- Krystal, Chris, Lena and Cora.

Always in our hearts. Sunny Dog was sweet, loyal, tolerant and loving. She passed those qualities on to her daughter Bella- as well as so many other of her Gen 2 Starbright Golden offspring. 🔆💛✨

Yes- on this day I can always remember hearing Gpa Dick saying “I’ll scrub in” as he lept from the bed at 8 AM when told his beloved 🔆Sunny Dog 💛 was about to become our Gen 2 momma.

Our Story

Our community began in 1999 when Santa delivered a delightful, bull headed and loving Starbright to our house. He became the proud papa to several litters with his mate Anna- who lived in Jim Falls. Then in 2004 we began here with our first Gen 1 litter- and parents Anna Star’s Golden Honey and Boettcher’s Cesar. The ‘04 Hot August Nights 12 were followed by the ‘05 Pot O Goldens 12; and the ‘06 March Madness 12. Sadly, Honey passed in July of 2006.

Our Gen 2 momma- Starbright’s Golden Sunrise teamed up with our ‘06 March Madness boy, Gus the Golden Hunter. In 2010 Gen 2 began with nine April Showers puppies, and in 2012 ten Fireworks puppies were born on July 6 before Sunny was retired.

Starbright Royal Bella Bright- a 2012 Fireworks girl, finally made Sunny and Gus grandparents with our Gen 3 May Flowers 3 born under a spring moon in the wee hours of May 12, 2017. Because all 3 are boys, and Ms Bella is now six, we have retired from having Starbright Golden litters here on site.

It continues to be an honor and a privilege to share in the lives of so many of our Starbright Goldens. This page is a great forum for keeping in touch with our golden families.
