Our favorite part of going on a walk! Nox thinks she's a fox. π¦π€£
Nox has learned some bunny hopping skills from her sister, Lola. π€£ ππ
Elsa talks to tell us what she needs. Sometimes Theia talks back. π€£ Elsa is always VERY careful around her baby. π₯°
A great way to keep chickens happy and healthy is to just dump a bunch of leaves for them to scratch through. Not only does it keep them entertained and work their natural instincts, but it also feeds them when they find bugs or tasty plants hidden inside, and you can use the scratched-through leaf litter that has chicken poop mixed in for a super high-quality mulch. This pile will be scratched through until this weekend, and then I will take it and stir it into a patch of yard I plan to grow trees in.
It's feeding day for the noodles! Ziti never takes long to strike. He is very accurate and confident.
It's feeding day for the noodles. Thunder tends to be skittish with anything new, including lights at feeding time. Normally he is fed in the dark, and needs less coaxing.
Mom needed some cheering up this morning. Nothing makes her happier than treating her babies to something special! Noxy Bear sure doesn't mind being spoiled. Look at that tiny pup cup with her big ol' snoot! π€£π₯°π
A little fall fun for Nox. She absolutely doesn't give a poop about what we do to her. π€£ Elsa just watches from the edge. She wants no part of being covered in leaves. ππ
A lazy Sunday morning breakfast for our sausage with legs. Blueberries first! Maui is so sweet and gentle. And now that it's hoodie season, he'll get all the naps in our hoods that he wants! π₯°
When the sun goes down, the puppies come out! Elsa didn't want to wrestle with Nox, so Dad stepped in! πΆπ
Fun Fact Friday!
Pancake is a Cuban Knight Anole. Also called a Green Knight Anole. They are normally very timid and usually like to stay hidden. They don't often enjoy being tong fed. Pancake has a very unusual temperament. He is almost always out in the open. He often stands and stares at us from his left dish to tell us he wants a bug. He almost always eats from the tongs too! He's pretty social for such a small, young anole! We don't handle him due to his age, size, and species, but we can easily see it as a possibility in the future. He is available for adoption. Let us know if you'd like to make this spunky little dude part of your family!
