There are so many reasons as to why minimally processed pet foods🫐 are better for your pet’s overall health span & lifespan versus ultra-processed pet foods🥫.

Otitis👂🏼 or ear infections in dogs, is a top 10 veterinary health problem according to research. They are often chronic, while treatment primarily consists of flushing, antibiotics, and/or antifungals.

In a new p*er-reviewed veterinary study, scientists show that the prevalence of otitis was significantly reduced within the groups of dogs that were consuming from 26 to 100% of their diet as non-processed foods.

"On the other hand, eating 76–100% of the diet during puppyhood as kibble significantly increased the prevalence of otitis later in their life."

Furthermore, in another previous Finnish Veterinary study, scientists showed healthy human food leftovers offered to puppies significantly reduced allergy symptoms and skin problems later in life. Do you trust your pets health with a candy bar company ?

Humans are funny species.
The looks I get sometimes when I tell people I feed my dogs raw fresh food.
“They don’t get sick”? No
“You don’t cook it”? No
“What about Bacteria” ? I’m not concerned
“My vet said kibble is the best option”
Of course because they don’t know anything about nutrition, just what packet of kibble to give you.

Then imagine their faces when I also add I don’t vaccinate them or use monthly poisons on them. 😳😂

It’s all conditioning right.
It’s so crazy we have moved so far away from a dogs natural diet.
I actually don’t understand how anyone can recommend kibble when you only have to read the ingredients. If a food lasts 12 months in a bag and doesn’t go off how is that food?

Real food doesn’t have a 20 plus ingredient list.

When has processed food ever been better than fresh food ? Never!

How is a meal of dog log full of bamboo fibre and tapioca starch better than a raw meaty bone?
We are not feeding a panda 🐼.

Then we have the mainstream vets questioning raw diets and nutritionists like myself who feed REAL food, yet they are recommending a processed food made by mars 🤔.
You know, mars that makes snickers and M & M’s. 🍫
Like come on. You trust them with your dog’s health?

It’s pretty simple.
Kibble = processed
Raw = fresh
Fresh is always superior to processed.

Just like a thins potato chip is not the same as a fresh potato 🥔

The ugly things nobody talks about as small business owners:

•You are fully dependent on yourself to pay your bills and when you are in the first 2-5 years it’s real dicey.

•There’s no salary, no benefits, no insurance, no weekends off, no sick days, no taking the day off when you don’t have childcare, no ever being “done”…ever.

•Consistent help with puppies and a lot of dogs is humanly impossible and when you don’t have it it’s an absolute hot mess. Hot. Stinking. Mess. Like take 6 months to open your shop hot mess.

•Social media does not support small businesses. In fact they’ve made it 10x harder (not an exaggeration) to build and grow now. We work twice as hard for a quarter of the reach.

•Once you force yourself to hire employees (because you can’t do it all)…you pay them before you pay yourself.

•Small business loans aren’t for small businesses

•People will think you’re a millionaire because you make sales and “look successful” when you’re barely a $2-aire because you have to reinvest every single dollar for the first few years.

•You feel like you’re letting down almost everyone in your life because there’s not enough of you to go around.

•Some days feel really really lonely

•Opening a shop and trying to keep your head above corporate grooming box stores is challenging.

•The weight of peoples expectations on you feel really heavy sometimes. They’re quick to let you know how you’re falling short

•You work 365 days a year and 16 hours a day

•It takes 47 days to respond to texts, messages and emails even if the answer is “ok”

•You watch people doing huge things around you and you have to keep your peace and stay focused and not allow comparison to creep in

•You’re desperate for a vacation butttt the whole finding coverage for all 6 dogs thing....

•Some days I cry…but oddly enough, I never want to quit.

…BUT you keep going day in and day out because you believe in what you’re doing with all of your heart. It’s a deep knowing. Because it calls you and because you believe you’re building the foundation for something beautiful.

Pawsitive Strides Wellness Grooms Includes your choice of haircut, nail trimming, a Tumeric and vitamin E ear wash, an all natural shampoo with a foaming facial wash, blowdry and brushout/ deshed, and cute scarf or bow.

Full service grooming clients will receive 30% off their groom price when it's booked and performed by myself within 30 days of your previous appointment.

Title: Mysterious Dog Illness Spreading

We have recently become aware of a mysterious dog illness that is circulating in the community. While we do not have much information about this event, there are a few things we do know:

🟣This illness is not kennel cough, viral, or parvo, but it does exhibit symptoms similar to those illnesses.
🟣It is highly contagious and can be transmitted between dogs.
🟣The illness is antibiotic resistant, and currently, there is no vaccination available for it.
⚠️We want to emphasize that vaccines do not guarantee protection against illnesses. Just like humans can still catch the flu or COVID after receiving a yearly flu shot, dogs can contract this illness despite being vaccinated.

Therefore, we kindly request you to answer the following questions:

⚠️Has your dog been to a vet office recently, and has it been on the floor there?
⚠️Has your dog visited a dog park and interacted with dogs outside your household or come into contact with f***s while outside?
⚠️Has your dog shared a water bowl with a dog outside your household?
⚠️Has your dog attended daycare or gone for boarding in the past 14 days?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we regretfully inform you that your dog's appointment will be canceled for today. We will reschedule it for two weeks from now, pending any development of symptoms. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping all pets safe.

Please keep us updated on your dog's condition following this dismissal, and we will be more than happy to book your dog's appointment as soon as the observation period is completed. We are asking all clients these questions as a precautionary measure, and any pushback may be seen as selfish disregard for the well-being of other people's dogs.💔

We take the utmost pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment for all pets. We disinfect our shop twice a day to ensure their well-being. Currently, we have a newborn litter of puppies in our lobby, and we will not jeopardize their health under any circumstances, just as we want to ensure the safety of our clients' dogs.
