Our caretakers are all grown up! Brooklyn has been selected for a scholars program at Hershey College of Medicine this summer, Ryan is beginning an engineering internship, Naomi is prepping for the law school admissions test and Teddie is gearing up for college!
It has been our experiences with your families that have help built our caregivers up to where they are now and we are all so grateful for the experiences we've had through Walk N' Wag Upstate New York.

We are happy to welcome our newest team member, Teddie! Teddie is from California and is now located here in Corning, NY 📍 Here are some fun facts about Teddie 📚
1. Teddie was born in California and lived there until he was 9 🏝
2. Teddie has been to the eiffel tower 🏰
3. Teddie runs distance in the fall and spring 🏃

⚡️ DOG SPOTLIGHT ⚡️
Meet my sweet boy Troy! Troy is a rescue, I got him when he was an itty bitty. He is quite the challenge as he is a super reactive dog but he’s getting better each day✨ He is mixed with golden retriever, black lab and German Shepard! He loves the water (especially at the river 🌊) and he loves to play fetch. Love you Troy Bean ❤️ - for Mother’s Day he brought me my own sock 🧦

How does booking with us work? It's easy! We will ask that you fill out a form regarding what services you need, dates and information about your pets. We will connect you with a team member to take care of your pet. Our team members are generally high school/college aged.
~Information regarding overnight stays~
For longer trips you may be working with two caretakers. One may be with your pet for five days and the other will be with them for the last two. Both team members will meet your pet at our free orientation. The reason for splitting the work is that many team members have more than one job. Personally, my other job has twelve hour shifts and I would want your pet to be checked on during that time- this would be a circumstance in which a second pet caretaker would work alongside me. I would not want my fur babies to be alone for that long, hence why we would assign a second pet caretaker to your fur baby☺️

How does booking with us work ⁉️
1) We will ask you to fill out our form
-this let’s us know what service you are interested in
-provides us with information about your pet
2) We will review your form and match you with a pet care taker best suited for you needs. Caretakers may not accept certain jobs, regardless of if the person is accepted as a client. This may be due to availability.
-for example: in my experience some dogs/cats require specific qualities in a caretaker
3)We will set up a FREE (excluding gas prices) meet and greet. This will be a brief meeting to understand what works best to take care of your pet☺️
-for example: if you sign up for a walk we would like to take your dog out for a short stroll (10 minutes) alongside you to understand things like reactivity level
Overall, we respond very quickly and are adaptive to last minute change of plans!

Some baby kittens to brighten your Sunday ☀️
These kitties were left outside a public pool this past summer. I primarily worked with dogs before this, but luckily my dear friend Naomi had a baby kitten that she raised. While she raised her baby kitten some days I would take the kitten to give her a break. Naomi helped us save these little babies, and more importantly the foster family that took them gave them a beautiful home to grow even more in! Our pet service caters to cats as well 🐱

Adapting to your dogs needs✨✨
This is Levi, he underwent an amputation this past December. Levi had a large tumor removed that had been hindering his ability to walk. However, some would think this means he cannot go on walks. Wrong! This now healthy boy MUST go on walks/runs, because weight management is very important for our three-legged fur babies. As an experienced dog walker and dog sitter it is important that we adapt to each fur baby appropriately. Not all dogs are the same: physically and reactively. Find what exercise best suits your dogs physical and mental health❤️
