📢 URGENT FOSTERS NEEDED 📢 These three beyond adorable Great Dane puppies are stuck in doggy jail at the shelter and we want to break them out as soon as possible! We have one foster ready but need TWO MORE FOSTERS asap (we never leave a dog behind).

🐾 Something about... PETEY❣️ This big lovable goof needs to feel the love from our I.C.A.R.E. family! He is around five years old and best guess a Saint Bernard/Mastiff mix. This big guy was on borrowed time at the shelter in pretty rough shape with a large sore on his left hip, some crusty eyes and very emaciated. Life and humans have obviously not treated him well. We recently broke him out of the shelter and yesterday he had a much needed entropion surgery for his painful scratchy eye and also neutered (which was much needed as well ✂️).
Here is what Petey needs the most:
1️⃣ A foster! Poor Petey is currently staying in boarding and really needs to know what's it's like to live in a loving stable home with humans that are experienced with large breeds and understanding that he needs time to decompress and settle in. 🏡💜
2️⃣ Even better... an adopter! If you want to be Petey's forever family please step up! 🤚
3️⃣ Help with his medical and boarding bills. So far we have spent over $2,000 getting Petey the medical care he needed and a roof over his head in boarding. 🙏11th HOUR MIRACLE - Saving Piglet❣️ This super tiny Pitty/Chihuahuha Mix is around two years old and only 13 lbs. She is the absolute sweetest and most affectionate love bug you will ever meet. She came into the shelter underweight with crusty skin, infected ears and a swollen paw but immediately won over everyone's heart with her friendly and submissive personality. Yesterday Piglet was placed on the euthanasia list and a social media erupted with pleas for her to be saved. Fortunately we were able to get there in the nick of time and give Piglet a freedom ride, warm bath and peaceful night's sleep.
If you want to donate towards Piglet's medical care and road to recovery it is greatly appreciated! We promise you this baby girl is worth every penny and then some. It takes a village to save these dogs and we are so grateful to be part of her second chance and promise of a wonderful future. 🐾💜

When no one came to retrieve her, we couldn’t wait to pick her up and get her the help she desperately needed! After being evaluated, she needs both Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) AND hip surgery. She barely moves and is in extreme discomfort but is still a complete angel. Surgery is lined up for Saturday, and If possible they will do both procedures at once, but there is a chance it may take two seperate surgeries.
We are looking at around $6,000 to put broken Tuna back together. Fortunately we have a DOLLAR MATCH from the incredible Shadow Medical Fund which will help every dollar donated get us to our total twice as fast. ❤️🩹 SECOND SURGERY FOR STRUDEL ❤️🩹 Our special girl is scheduled for her second leg surgery on Monday. Strudel was born into our rescue with a very challenging birth defect. She had severe Bilateral Medial Patellar Luxation with Angular Deformity (Stage 4). In simple terms, both of her knee caps were permanently out of place which caused her to just drag her legs around on her knees as she couldn’t stand up or walk normally. Thanks to all the support from her fan club, Strudel had her first surgery in July which was a huge success! Now it’s time to have the other leg done which will allow her to have the best life possible walking on all four paws. 🐾🐾
The estimate for her upcoming surgery is $5,500. Fortunately we have a DOLLAR MATCH OFFER from The Shadow Medical Fund!!!!! So for every single dollar that our supporters donate, it will be matched which will get us to our goal twice as fast. 💜 SECOND CHANCE FOR CHLOE 💜 This incredibly sweet ten-year-old girl has spent her whole life not knowing what it's like to be part of a loving family. Her previous owners called her "dumb dog" and left her to lead an isolated life in complete fear of humans. A concerned acquaintance could no longer watch her physical and mental health deteriorate and helped us convince the owners to surrender Chloe to our rescue. We could not get her to the vet fast enough to end her suffering and help her on her road to recovery!
Chloe has a baseball-sized mammary mass, severe dental disease which is causing facial muscle atrophy, infections throughout her body as well as a Stage 4 heart murmur. Our vets have graciously offered to fix her up with two separate surgeries: first for her spay, mass removal, biopsy and x-rays, then second to tackle the infections rotting in her mouth causing her pain while eating. We are looking at a price tag of $2,000, but this girl is worth every penny!
In the short time she's been in her foster home, Chloe has melted everyone's heart. She is so docile and gentle and so grateful for a loving touch. She follows her foster momma around the house and her little tail goes wild when she sees the kids. We wish we were able to help Chloe sooner but we promise her nothing but the best life from here on out! If you want to chip in toward Chloe's road to recovery, we would all be so grateful. 💔 HELP LILO WALK AGAIN 💔 The year got off to a tragic start as we bumped into a helpless family at our vets office with a broken dog. Clearly we could see this dog was not able to walk and was in need of urgent help. The good Samaritan who brought him to the vet had learned of the horrific situation where he lived in a home with a child that thought it would be fun to run over him over with a bicycle and break not one but both of his poor legs! They brought him to the vet in hopes he could be easily fixed and that she could afford to do so. However, after learning he needed a costly orthopedic surgery performed by a specialist she quickly realized that the owner nor herself could not possibly afford the care he needs and made the decision to surrender to us. We are going to get him put back together again and give him the life this one-year-old dog truly deserves. The surgery comes at a $3,600 price tag and his aftercare will be a lengthy process with may follow-up visits. We currently have a number of dogs with severe medical needs and are simply tapped out.
