**PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING ON THE PAGE.** This post contains vital information that will answer many questions. The page is also NOT a place for one's opinions about owners. Post pictures/information of lost or found animals and I will do all I can to help. PAGE INFORMATION:
This is a lost and found page that focuses on reuniting animals with their families. We are NOT affiliated with Coro
na animal control nor are we a rescue or rehoming page. Any posts regarding rehoming and/or rescuing will be deleted without warning so that the focus of this page remains on helping lost/found animals. There are other pages to post on regarding rescue/rehoming. If you would like advice about those pages, I will gladly provide the names if asked. Although LPOC is not a rescue or rehoming page, I have created an Album entitled Adoptable Animals at Corona Shelter to help animals at the Corona animal shelter get adopted. This album will have only animals at the Corona shelter in it. LOST AND FOUND INFORMATION:
If you have lost a pet, check ALL local shelters including Corona, Norco, Riverside and Animal Friends of the Valley. If your pet is not there, file a lost report on 24petconnect.com. To make it easier for those missing a pet, here are the local shelter addressees and hours. Do not call, it's best to physically check the shelter yourself. Bring proof the pet is yours be it a picture and/or vet records and be prepared to pay fees to get your pet back. Fees depend on the shelter and whether the pet is spayed/neutered, licensed etc. Corona Animal Shelter

To view photos of animals at Corona shelter (nothing replaces psychically checking the shelter yourself, but this may help you find your pet) go to 24petconnect.com. If you see your pet on the page, keep this very important information in mind: Animals that do not have a microchip or any type of ID tag are held for 7 business days starting the day after the animal came into the shelter. Animals with a microchip and/or an ID tag are held for 10 straight days. After the hold times are up, they are made available for adoption. If your pet is there and you don't claim it before the hold time is up, you risk it being adopted by someone else. Don't take that risk, claim your pet asap!! Make sure that your pets microchip is registered and has your current contact information otherwise it's useless. Also make sure your pet's ID tags have your current contact information on them. Call Corona shelter and make an appointment or check with Petco for microchip clinic dates. If you have lost or found an animal in Corona, you can also post them on these page/group: What's Up Corona
If lost in the Lake Mathews/Gavilan Hills area of Corona, there is a Lake Mathews and Gavilan Lost and Found Pets page. If lost in the Sierra Del Oro area of Corona, there is the Sierra Del Oro, Corona group. If lost in the Eagle Glen area of Corona, there is a EAGLE GLEN RESIDENTS SOUTH CORONA PAST AND PRESENT page. If lost in the Horsethief area of Corona, there is a Horsethief Canyon Pet Connection page. If lost in the Sycamore Creek area, there is a Sycamore Creek Pet Connection page. If lost in the Retreat area, there is a group called What's Happening in the Retreat. If lost in Coronita, there is a group called What's Up Coronita. If you live close to the Norco border, you can also post on:
Norco Lost and Found page
Norco, CA Lost and Found page
Norco Forum page and Norco Uncensored page. If lost in Riverside, there is a Riverside CA Lost and Found Pets page
There is also an Eastvale Lost and Found page. You can also join Next Door and post there. When posting a lost/found pet, please provide as much information as possible such has gender of the animal, breed (if known) color, location it was lost/found including cross streets, date missing/found, mircochipped or not, wearing a collar with ID tag or not etc. If you feel comfortable sharing the pet's name so that it can possibly be called to safety, do so. If possible, please provide a picture. If you have found a lost pet, you can take it to Corona shelter or a local vet to be scanned for a microchip. If turning in to the shelter, take it to the shelter that serves the area you found it in because the shelter will most likely be the first place the owners will look for their missing pet. If you don't want to leave the pet at the shelter and are willing to hold on to it while searching for the owner, file a found report on 24petconnect.com. If no owner is found, rehoming the animal can take place ONLY after diligently looking for the owner. Diligently looking includes checking the animal for a microchip, filing a found report at the shelter, checking lost reports, posting on Craig's List, posting signs inside local vet offices etc. Lost Pets of Corona does not condone rehoming an animal prior to diligently looking for a possible owner. If you have found an animal wearing a city license tag, call that city's shelter for assistance in returning the animal to its owner. If you have found your pet or the owner of a pet you found PLEASE inform me so that I can update the posts. Also, please inform me if you take a found pet to the shelter and tell me which shelter, as this will be helpful to the owner.
