Does your dog howl every single time a police car passes by? And perhaps that's not the only sound that makes them suddenly go berserk β€” fire engines, ambulances or even your home's fire alarm can make your pet "yell" out at the sound, too. Learn why your dog may react this way here:πŸ‘‡

Dogs howling at sirens is common behavior, but why do they do it? Also, learn if sirens actually hurt dogs' ears and which dog breeds like to howl most.

Brushing a pet's teeth is just as important as brushing ours! Bacteria under the gum can travel to the heart, kidneys, and liver and cause serious illnesses. We brush our teeth a few times each day, but still go to a dentist to clean and examine our teeth once or twice per year. Keep your pets healthy with routine dental cleanings. Take advantage of our $600 special and contact us to schedule an appointment by calling: 619-996-3335

Dental Cleaning Promotion

Since our pets can't brush their own teeth, it's up to us to create a good plan of regular examinations and cleanings to keep them as healthy as possible. Bad breath in a dog or cat is more than just unpleasant, it can also be a sign of serious dental or periodontal disease. By the time they are 3-5 years old, 60-70% of dogs and cats have some degree of tartar, plaque buildup, or periodontal disease (inflammation of the gums and the structures which support the teeth). Beyond the cosmetic appearance of brown/beige tartar and red gums, pets with actual periodontal disease frequently also have bacterial gingivitis which can damage other organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys. The bacteria from the gums can travel via the bloodstream to these organs and cause serious, permanent damage.
