Horse Boarding, Equine Center, Training and Lessons Safety: All riders under the age of 18 are required to wear a helmet at all times when in saddle.

This is an insurance requirement and it is mandatory. All riders need to come to the barn in long pants and closed toe shoes. Your lesson can and will be cancelled with out a refund if the rider is not wearing these items. No, it does not have to be jean or breeches, or riding boots. Any long pants and full shoes are allowed. Cancelation Policy: All booked lessons services have a 24 hour cancelati

on policy. If a cancelation is done without the required 24 hours notice the full lesson amount will be due before the next lesson can be booked. If you do the 24 hour cancelation we are happy to rebook your lesson with in the next 7 days as the schedule allows, or add a lesson to the end of your paid package. Pre-Registration and Registration fees are non-refundable and none transferable. They will be credited to the balance of the event you are registering for. This fee is your commitment to attend the event. Payments: Payments for special events such as Camps and Clinics will be due in full 7-day before the event is schedule. You can loose your spot for nonpayment and it can be offered to a waiting list if the payment is not made. your first lesson will be due at the time of booking or 7-days before your first lesson. Reoccurring lessons will be due 24 hours before your lesson starts. Lesson clients that do not book 4 lessons packages will be required to keep a card on file for payment and cancelations. Please see cancelation policy above. Boarding: Boarder will be charged 1 month board, feed, and service fees at the start of your board contract. This 1 month collection will be applied to your last months board. There will be no deposits on boarding contracts. All boarders will have to give a 30-day notice starting on the 1st of the calendar month if they would like to move. The last month board that was collected at the beginning of the contract will be used for the last 30-days of board and the client will not pay their last 30 day board bill to the barn. If 30 days notice is not given your last month payment will not be applied, refunded, or transferred to other services. Boarders Late Fee: All Board is due in full for board, feed and service fees at the 1st of each calendar month. Board is late on the 4th day and will have a $50 late fee, followed by $5 a day after. If board is not paid in full by the 15th of the month a notice will be given to the owner to remove the horse and personal property off property by the 30th day of that month.

Come support our amazing team riders this weekend at the Lone Start Youth Horse Association Performance show. Entry is free both Saturday and Sunday.

Remedy Ranch Rescue/HHCC Project
Thor is a smart, willing, stunning horse. He wants to do right and boy has he. This guy has not even offered to a crow hop, toss a kick, or show us any naughty behavior and Savannah has done EVERYTHING she can to get this horse to spook and make a poor choice. He really has been so good ! He does have a past, and he does need an intermediate owner as he does get unsure and when he does he can feel like he might run out from under you. It’s a super easy correction and he is back to steady eddy! He is low man in the pasture, getting easier to catch (trust thing) takes about 5 minutes before he gives up and stands like a very good boy. He isn’t a dead head, will move when asked and he is a great mover and very calm in transition, understands pressure cues well and can be ridden easily with seat and leg. I wouldn’t say he is fancy broke but as he stays with us will be getting worked on neck reining, playday patterns, ranch riding, trail class, reining and “parade” exposure. Seems to be a nice easy keeper with good feet and his confirmation is amazing for a little grade horse. Ground manners are all at 100% loads, ties, picks up feet, trailers, doesn’t love you touching his rear end under saddle, doesn’t love busy riders (we are really working on this) he wants your attention 100%. Adoption contract update.
Our exchange policy is now only 90 days.
What does that mean. You have 90 days to recieve credit towards another horse (subject to expenses- more details in contract) after 90 days the horse can come back to Remedy Ranch Rescue with no refund or credit or you can find an appropriate home that will fill out an application and be approved to transfer to.
We will no longer be supporting an idea of trading in for a newer, shinnier, younger, more broke model.
If you are a return adopter you will need to fill out a new application. We only hold application for 90 days.
Yes these seems to be harsh but within 90 days you should know if this horse will work for you.

Look at Thor and Savannah riding down the side of the road with other horses, traffic, and all kids of funny business and they guy just was as cool as a cucumber! He has the best hair cut at the barn too!

Meet our official Team Mom Jana. Most of you will recognize this awesome lady as Lux-e Mom on our our Performance/Speed team riders and now Harley’s Mom (sweet palomino). Our Teams are growing and that’s amazing! Jana will help riders stay orginized for hauls, help with patterns, missing/needed tack, she will help set goals and tracking those goals. She will handle t-shirt orders every quarter, along with additional items like buckets, grooming sets, bridle bags, and riders personals. She will also help organize our schedules and help with snacks and meals when we are out. Parents and riders are welcome to reach out to Jana for general questions about events. Team coachs will be able to focus more on the horse and riders, lesson plans and events. Many hands make short work, and we are very blessed to have so many hands! Thank you, Jana and officially welcome to our Team!

We had an awesome ladies ride to the Oso! Jana and Harley on their very first ride and of course he was wonderul! Savannah took Thor out on his first big ride off property and He was the best! Silver and Reba carried their riders Morgan and Sam safely. Reba moved about the speed of a turtle, she was in no rush, Silver was the opposite and wanted to speed race to play line leader on the way home. Rummy our fearless leader kept all the horses level headed, safe, and with no spooks. We headed back at dusk just beating the last bit of the evening blue sky’s. Love days like this!

Sooo we did a thing… Please welcome Thor and Remmy to HHCC as part of our apprenticeship training program. Our goal is to help our Apprentices and assistant trainers more experience with training side, to include ground work, free lunging, exercise riding, finish work, while helping the horses achieve balanced nutrition, muscle, balance, and top line. We will be a satellite adoption center and we help these horses find their forever homes. These two are amazing and I can’t wait to show you all their progress and I’m over the moon excited and proud of our kidos for taking on the responsibilities and effort of a project this size. Savannah, Madison, Cash under myself as lead will be documenting their training. If you are interested in either horse please reach out!

Story Time...

The Corpus Christi Horse House came to life out of a need to have affordable boarding and horse back riding available to the Corpus Christi area. I have found the main reason that more people do own horses or get into riding horses is the expense. I know that because that is me. When I moved here a few years ago I struggled to find an affordable, safe, and clean facility to move my horses to, and because of this all of my horses where sold and placed with other families. It’s are goal to be able to offer boarding and lessons for affordable and reasonable prices. Please don’t pass up on the chase to fall in love with these amazing creatures, it’s an opportunity that many do have. Everyone is welcome here!
