Rex and Zorro - two sweet bonded boars available for adoption. ❤️🐾🐹🥬
Rudolph being an absolute diva.
This WHEEKend Bramble was adopted! He matched quickly with his new cage mate, Lebron James.
We have had many great adoption applications.
If you’ve applied - please check your emails! I’d personally responded to several folks and never heard back.
If you’d be interested in adopting or willing to open your home to a foster pair, please visit us at www.Txcoastguineapigs.com - or message us directly for a quicker response.
And if you’ve adopteted from us, please consider leaving an honest review.

*Video of Rudolph and his boy. Rudolph has been adopted, but we have many others waiting for homes. Rudolph was confiscated by CCACS and now has a forever family and a cage mate to keep him company.
Briar was a part of an owner surrender of 13 guinea pigs. Each of them had ringworm to varying degrees. He is almost done with ringworm treatments!

We need fosters and supplies ASAP!
We were contacted by a good soul who really loves their piggies but know they need more care than they can provide right now. We're so glad that this person reached out and trusted us in the best interests of these piggies.
Sometimes things can get out of control with cavies - they're fast breeders and it can be hard to tell who's a she and who's a he and get them separated in time. As a result, we're helping the surrendering owner with care and placement for 26 pigs, some of whom will be needing treatment for minor skin issues.
We're trying to move these guys into foster (and eventually adoptive) homes where they can get the care and love they deserve - which is what the prior owner wants for them.
Which is where you come in. If you were on the fence about fostering, this is your sign that the time is now. If you absolutely can't foster, we're going to need more cages and supplies - please see our wish list and chip in what you can.
It's very difficult to reach out to a rescue when you're in over your head - people can be incredibly judgmental - and we're very glad this person did. Meeting people where they are and working with them is how we save more lives.

Chloe and Clarice BFF!
These gals have really hit it off. Chloe was a recent surrender, and Clarice came from CC Animal Care Services with two boars. She needed a friend. 🥹❤️🐹💕
I paired up Rudy and New Baby (he’s a boar)…
SO FAR - These boars have NOT chattered once since meeting. It’s just popcorns, chasing, and ZOOMIES.
I think they both needed a cage mate with high activity level.
Rudy has NEVER been this happy and I haven’t seen him popcorn since he was tiny.
Rudy and New Baby are spoken for. They’re going to be going home to a family and their new mama is an educator!
I never thought I’d adopt out Rudy. But I think this is the best for New Baby. And Rudy ordinarily is picked on, because he is small and partially blind. So you know I found a particularly good home. 🥹♥️
Fingers crossed that they continue to do well together. I’ll keep a close eye.
Baby’s first veggies. 🥹
I’ve been waiting for Clarices’s new pup to try veggies and she did so good this evening! Clarice has been a very good mom.
When you’ve had so many adoptions that your personal guinea pigs have upgraded.
Two Many Guinea Pigs
Clarice (formerly Mrs. Claus) looks properly pregnant. I expect one or two pups by February first.
Guinea pigs multiply very quickly and without much notice.
Clarice was temporarily kept with two boars at CCACS (Mr. Claus and Rudolph).
It takes about six months for one pregnant guinea pigs to turn into twenty.
As much as I love them, we don’t need any more at the moment. If you have questions or need assistance sexing your guinea pigs, please message.
Sharing is hard.
Comet and Rudolph usually have two water bottles, but one is currently soaking in the sink. Sharing is hard.
Comet and Rudolph came to us from an animal control confiscation. If you would be interested in adopting or fostering this festive pair, please message.
