I don't have sunflower bouquets today but I was able to plant sunflowers to replace the sunflowers I lost to the freeze. I will have amaryllis with red flowers, one amaryllis that has white flowers, peppers and eggplant harvested before the freeze, mint plants, herb plants, rosemary plants, wild poinsettia, luffa soaps, and pots of catgrass for today's GROW Local South Texas Farmer's Market at the Art Center (100 N. Shoreline) from 5 to 8

After eating the radishes the javelina moved on to the very small beets. This was the second planting for beets. I am not going to replant again here but will try at my other growing location that does not have javelina.
I will have peppers and eggplant harvested before the freeze, amaryllis (red flowers), mint plants, herb plants, luffa soaps, and pots of catgrass for Saturday's Corpus Christi Southside Farmers' Market at 5800 Everhart from 9 to noon

Warmer today so I will have purple eggplant,we fairy tale eggplant, peppers, mint plants, herb plants, luffa soaps, and pots of catgrass at the GROW Local South Texas Farmer's Market at the Art Center (100 N. Shoreline) from 5 to 8. The pepper plants and eggplant plants did not survive the freeze so what I have is the last before new plants start producing. Some of the sunflower plants survived the freeze but the cohort that was going to flower in about two weeks did not survive the freeze. Snapdragon plants look great but the flower stalks that were close to flowering were damaged. It might be a month before I have snapdragon bouquets

Two snapdragon bouquets, one sunflower bouquet, amaryllis (red flowers), lots of peppers and eggplant, mint plants, herb plants, luffa soaps, and pots of catgrass for Saturday's Corpus Christi Southside Farmers' Market at 5800 Everhart from 9 to noon. Given the cold weather forecast for Monday and Tuesday, this is likely the last harvest of eggplant and peppers. Get them now because I won't have them again until May or June. I have frost fabric to cover the snapdragons, stocks, celery, cauliflower, and sunflowers so I think they will be alright if it doesn't get colder than the current forecast

Bad bunny thinking about eating celery. Well, a bad bunny not the Bad Bunny. So far, celery has not been eaten. Because even radishes have been eaten I am planting flowers in beds that were going to have vegetables. I planted a tray of purple stocks today. Stocks are one of the few cut flowers with a fragrance. The cauliflower at my other growing location that does not have javelina are doing well
