I'm not going to sit here and tell people to break the rules or laws. I will say that, as an adult with full knowledge of the law and of policy, you must make the decision as to what you stand to gain or lose by abiding by it. As a lawful concealed carrier, I hope you would choose wisely.

The class this Saturday May 26th is taking place at Nichols Guns located at 10525 Leopard St, Corpus Christi TX. The class begins at 8am sharp. Payment will be collected at the beginning of the class.

This course is required if you are attempting to obtain a Texas License To Carry permit. The class room portion of the course will last approximately 5-6 hours (Location TBA). Following the end of the classroom portion of the course a proficiency demonstration will take place at Starry Gun Range. Cost will be $100.00 that is due at the beginning of the course.

Student must provide the following equipment:
A semi-automatic or a non semi-automatic handgun; Must be at least .32 caliber or above.
Must be in good working condition.
Handguns are subject to inspection by the instructor(s) prior to training and at any time during the training course.
No optical sights allowed (example: scopes, laser, or holographic).
No handgun may have any modification which compromises the safety of the weapon.
Revolver must not have “push off” on single action.

Ammunition:
Reloaded ammunition is not allowed.
Must have a minimum of 50 rounds for handgun (Extra is recommended).

Protective clothing:
Ear protection (over-the-ear, m**f style); eye protection (prescription eye wear is acceptable),
Shirt with a collar; head cover (hat that covers head and area of face such as a baseball cap).
Closed-toe footwear, such as boots or athletic shoes, Long pants (no shorts or Capri style pants)
Optional/Additional item for proficiency demonstration, One hand towel on which to lay your handguns and ammunition during qualification

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
A written examination and proficiency demonstration will be administered to each student. Students must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination and 70% on the proficiency demonstration in order to pass this course.
Instructions on handling handguns at the proficiency demonstration will be provided during classroom training. (Holsters will not be used, handguns must be stored in a closed carrying case/bag, no time will be allotted for practice or to zero the handguns during the class)
Students must abide by all range safety rules. Failure to comply with safety rules will result in immediate removal from the range, and result in course failure.
No family members, guests or pets will be allowed in the classroom or at the range.
No recording/photographing is allowed during the class/instruction
