CARMA - Companion Animal Rescue & Medical Assistance CARMA - Companion Animal Rescue & Medical Assistance CARMA has a fee of $115 for cats and dogs. We also do a home visit before adopting out the animal.

CARMA is a New Mexico, non profit, all volunteer, foster care-based corporation aimed at addressing the needs of abandoned, abused, and neglected companion animals (cats and dogs). CARMA stresses local involvement, but will reach out to all communities to assist animals in need and to identify safe and appropriate placement. The fee pays for the spay/neuter and age-appropriate vaccinations. The ap

plication process involves filling out a paper application and then going through a verbal screening with one of our members. Our adoption clinics are at Petco 3601 Old Airport Road near Cottonwood Mall Saturday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. We are not doing the clinics right now because of COVID 19. We are thankful to be able to assist those in the community who struggle to feed their companion animals. This helps us keep animals in their homes with the people who love them and out of shelters. If you would like to join us in that endeavor, here are three tangible ways to help:
Volunteer to work a shift during pet food distribution operating hours.
(We are especially in need of Sat volunteers)
Donate pet food or host a donation drive.
