Thank you First Methodist Church of Corsicana for supporting Diamonds and Rubies Ranch. It was an honor to be represented along side so many other wonderful organizations. Blessings!

Proceeds from the First Methodist Women’s 2024 Annual Bazaar allowed $22,000 to be gifted to mission efforts. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make the bazaar a huge success and to those who supported our efforts. Representatives of receiving mission agencies were present at worship service this morning to receive checks.

Get Up!
Nothing can be more discouraging, then falling off a horse. It happens even with some of the best horses and the best riders.
One of the best things we can do in response is get back on, although it may be the last thing we want to do.
Both horse and human learn from the getting back on. They learn that when something goes wrong, it doesn't mean the ride is over. It's an opportunity to build strength, resiliency, and grit.

The Bible talks about this even in our spiritual walk. Maybe we messed up...maybe we even messed up big time. Our first response may be to throw up our hands and say, "I've failed God so what's the point". In reality, that is exactly the time, our faith can be increased. When we accept the failure as a temporary setback, then get back up, it builds maturity in our faith.

Just as lifting weights past the point of when you think you can't lift no more is when you build muscle, getting back up after a fall builds spiritual muscle.

Although there are times we may hurt God's heart, He is overjoyed when He sees us get up. He leaves the 99 for us. He mounts us up on wings like eagles and He restores our strength.

Often times we think that we don't see God or feel His presence because "our blinders are on" but what if blinders are exactly what we need?
On horses, blinders are used to block out distractions, so they focus on what is ahead.
Oftentimes we don't see, hear, or feel God's presence because we are too busy and distracted to hear and see His presence.
Sometimes we need to put aside things, so we can focus on the main thing.

✔️ Read His word when it's quiet and still.
✔️ Talk to him.
✔️ Write down the things you think about or hear from Him.
✔️ Make room for him.

You won't regret it!

Abundant life awaits you!

🐴 Human and horse, a relationship that has been around for centuries. As the human and horse connect, they build (or at least they should) a partnership. Sometimes we go wrong by "trying to show who's boss" and forgetting that God gave us dominion over them to care for them and also, for them to care for us. That's partnership!

❤️ Jesus desires the same thing for us. He wants to walk in partnership with us, but to do so we have to spend time with Him, be in agreement with Him, abide in Him.

🐎 He has so much to offer us. He invited us into His herd, and brings others that we need into our lives and also those that need us. Sometimes people are in our lives only for a reason, but Jesus is with us in all seasons of life.

[3] Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. [4] Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy,

Horses are forward looking...Jesus was forward looking and always looking forward and upward to His heavenly Father. He desires the same for us.
Proverbs 4:25-27 says
[25] Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. [26] Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. [27] Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.
