Diamonds and Rubies Ranch

Diamonds and Rubies Ranch This is done through the unique experience of the Word (of God) and the herd.

Our ranch is a place for women and girls to build relationships, become part of a herd, experience the beauty of horses, and extract the fullness God has in store for them.

Here is what we do in our free time at the ranch. We teach our livestock dog Boomer to walk Pearl the baby donkey.

With the rainy season upon us, we are in need of sand to fill the round pen. This greatly helps with reducing the mud for when we have sessions in the round pen after a rain.
If you know someone that might be willing to donate sand or even give us a good deal on sand, please let us know.
Blessings !

Today we celebrated Christmas with our Precious Gems horse club. We made Christmas cards for others, cookies, stuffed animals horses, but most importantly we talked about the reason for Christmas.
We talked about seeking Jesus, caring for others, spending time with God and His birth.
What a blessed time of year it is.
Merry Christmas to all the families!

Abundant Life
John 10:10 " I have come that you might have life, and life more abundantly."
What is abundant life? What gives your life abundance?
In Greek the word for abundant is Perissos. It means beyond measure, over and above what is necessary.

The word for life is Zoe. Zoe means the absolute fullness of life, which belongs to God; a life active and devoted to God.

When we put it together, abundant life means A life beyond measure and above what is necessary that is the absolute fullness of life which belongs to God and is active and devoted to Him.

We don't have to earn it, we just have to receive it. We have to know the one from whom abundant life comes from. Knowing Jesus more and more will increase the harvest.

This is our hope and prayer for every woman and girl that comes to Diamonds and Rubies Ranch. That they will extract the abundant life that God has for them.

This will now be a part of our vision statement.

Your God Given Leadership and the 70-25-5 rule!
Ruby is the youngest of our horse herd and I love watching her trying to rally up the older horses to play with her. She is completely content bucking and rearing and trying to excite the other horses to play, regardless of what they think about it. 😂

Something I love about horses, is that they are truthful. They are who they are and they don't try to be anything else. They don't try to be the fastest if they aren't the fastest. They don't try to be the strongest if they aren't the strongest. Yet all of them make up the herd and are important to the safety and survival of the herd. You may be asking, what is my gift? What do I contribute to my herd (family, work, friends, etc)?
The truth is, we are all leaders when we follow Christ. He calls us to lead based on our own spiritual gifts. We need to embrace those spiritual gifts, not try to perfect someone else's. John Maxwell said it best in this devotion and illustrated the 70-25-5 rule.
✅ Give 70% of your effort to your strengths
✅ Give 25% of your efforts to the things you want to improve
✅ Give 5% of your efforts to your weaknesses
How many times do we look at someone else's gift and we try to do it better than them, only to fail and meanwhile neglect the things we are already strong in. God didn't make us to be strong in all things. He gave us each our own strengths and He wants to use them for his glory.
As I watch Ruby this morning, I see her strength is resiliency. No matter what life has thrown at her, she still enjoys the little amusements, "she is more precious than rubies" and so are you.
Saddle up and lead well!

I often look at our herd and just gaze upon how majestic and beautiful they are. Not just on the outside, but also their nature is beautiful. They will follow you and put their head on your shoulder too.
It is because they are God's, that they radiate a certain kind of beauty. He hand selected each of them for ministry, to be used as vessels to bring hope, healing, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The parallel between their nature and the very nature of God, is beautiful.
There is nothing quite like the experience of the Word and the herd.
