Do you need rest? The truth is, we all do. Rest is so important to God that He did it and commands us to do it. When we rest, it is a time of intimacy with God. He desires for us to know Him more and more each day. One of the ways we can do this is through alone time and prayer with Him.
Matthew 6:6 says
But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Spend alone time with Him today! Pray with Him today!

Today was our first day of girls horse club. For our devotion we talked about the rhythm of prayer breathing and made rhythm beads for the horse's mane and tails. We played with the horses then enjoyed some much needed swim time.
We are thankful for all of these Precious Gems.

A Morning Message
Sitting on my deck swing, taking in all the senses of the things that I hear, see, and smell. The sound of the pond waterfall and my neighbors cows. The smell of the horses and wet grass from the morning dew. The feeling of calmness and contentment.
I'm reminded of how, in the Bible, Paul was in prison. While he was there he wrote that he knew what it was like to be in need and he knew what it was like to have all his needs. He said he learned to be content in all things.
We can see here that Paul brought his mind to his condition and affirmed that there were times he had more and times he had less but that both experiences were necessary to learn how to be content.
There is so much healing in this as we apply it to our lives.
Being content is when what you have, is enough because all of it, no matter how much or how little, has been granted by God and none of it is without reason. God perfects us in each season to include the seasons of bounty and the seasons of famine.
Thank you Jesus for being enough for us so that we can be enough for you.

I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Meet our board member Landy

"I am originally from Michigan and have lived in Texas for 7 years. I am a wife and a mama to the most adorable almost 2 year old. I began my career as a Recreational Therapist in the mental health setting which uses alternative methods to work on healthy coping skills and outlets so equine is totally up my alley. As soon as I learned about Diamonds and Rubies, I knew I wanted to be apart. I am so excited to see all that God is going to continue to do through this ministry and am grateful I have a front row seat ."

At Diamonds and Rubies Ranch we walk alongside women and use the Word and the herd to learn to walk in freedom, hope, and rest. God wants every woman to know they are far more precious than rubies.

*One to one sessions for women and girls ages 11 and up.
*Women's group sessions where women can learn together in a herd.
*Mother daughter sessions to flourish relationship.

The club will meet on select Saturdays throughout the year. There are no registration fees as we will be doing fundraising, but there will be limited registration slots available.
