Bernadoodle, Desmond, gives the best shakes!
He was a pretty good patient during his ear clean and nail trim but definitely began to lose his patience near the end of these more lengthy treatments. In order to avoid this treatment fatigue, we often take breaks and give reinforcements (cookies/treats). This can lengthen the process of the treatment so if you are feeling like your pet has been gone a while, it is likely because we are trying to work with them to keep us and them safe.
Chloe has been featured on our Facebook before but we just had to feature her in one of our videos highlighting her amazing personality. She is just a ball of fun even during visits to the doctor. Seeing her at home must be an incredible treat to watch!
One of our craziest puppy Frenchies (which is saying a lot - French Bulldogs have some insane energy spurts), Louis "relaxing" after his vaccines and exam. This puppy is wild but in the best way possible. We love his energy and attitude to be at VCA Madera!
More Alex and King Jeulian content!

Listen to Winston's thoughts on his visit!
Remember Brady from last week? Here he is being so well behaved during his nail trim! Brady is only nine weeks old and he looks extremely happy (and adorable) during this sometimes problematic treatment. The best way to get your dogs used to getting nail trims is by touching their feet and toes. Starting early is definitely the easiest way but it is not too late to help an older dog too. By doing this quick activity with your dog, it helps the technicians perform a more efficient nail trim while keeping your dog safe and happy as well!
