EDIT: Thank you to everyone who shared and inquired! He has found a fantastic home in the city where I grew up (what a confidence!). His new people are dog trainers who I think can bring out the best in him. Plus I even get to take him in the ring in the future. 🥹🥹🥹

After a lot of thought and consideration, I think it would be best to place Mozzarella Boy (Blaze) in a co-own home. He is a show prospect but needs more attention than I can currently provide. He is very sweet but has a softer temperament, thus he needs a home that will give him the support for him to grow into himself and become the confident boy I know he can be. He is very people oriented. Please message me if you are interested and let me know if you’ve filled out a puppy application!

EDIT: Thank you to everyone who inquired about her! She tentatively has a home pending and I will update this post if it doesn’t work out, but fingers crossed!

Annie is still looking for her retirement home! She is 6 years old, super cuddly, and wants to be the center of attention. She has limited training but is plenty food motivated and is very easy to live with.

I would like to find a home for her with either no other dogs or just a few companions. She is pretty over the chaos of my house. 🤣 Please message me if you are interested. She will have a small rehoming fee.

Cinder has left with their dam’s breeder. I am planning on growing both these babies out so neither are available at this time. I will, of course, share if that changes at any point! Can’t wait to watch them grow up!

I have some exciting breeding plans coming up despite my original timeline for the year being messed up. So stay tuned!

We are back from Chihuahua Nationals and had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new ones!

Hydra took third place on Thursday in Bred By Adult, which was so exciting amongst the hundreds of quality chihuahuas that showed up this year! Mera made the first cut in BOV Thursday as well under Judge Walton. Nothing for the girls on Saturday but they both showed wonderfully and had a great time.

Can’t wait until next year!

Hi everyone, I am still alive and the babies are doing great! They are 11 weeks, have all hit 2 lb, and have had two rounds of vaccines. As you can see in the photos, they are rambunctious and adorable! Things have been crazy the last few weeks as my health took a big dip but I am feeling much better and getting ready to go to the Chihuahua National Specialty this week.

A great opportunity for a sporty little chihuahua that my friend bred!

When I began my breeding journey, I made a promise to myself that I was going to always put temperament, structure and health above my personal feelings and love for the dogs. I’ve stuck by that promise a few times when I’ve placed dogs before, but the decision I made recently was the toughest one yet.

My first bred-by, Poppy, was spayed last week. She is such a lovely companion; eager to please, always up for an adventure, friends with all animals, highly intelligent and so so loving to HER people! However she is not a huge fan of strangers, and takes a minute to warm up to new friends (faster if you have chicken 😉). That is unfortunately not an attribute I would like to reproduce in my program. As much as it hurts my heart to spay her, I must make choices that are for the betterment of the breed and not fueled by my feelings.

That being said, Poppy will be looking for her forever home. I am going to be incredibly picky about this placement and am in absolutely no rush to have her leave. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic, sporty dog to compete with outside of the conformation ring please let me know! She would excel in stuff like scent work, agility, fastCAT, etc. We began swimming foundations and she will jump into the pool when coaxed. Would be an amazing hiking buddy and loves going on road trips. She is going to make someone INCREDIBLY happy 🥹

Cerberus debuted in Rally Excellent this weekend at the Wine Country show in Romulus, NY. He qualified 2/3 days and needs one more qualifying score for his RE title! The conditions were wet and rainy but he was a trooper. I am so proud of this dog and so grateful to have him in my life.

Week 7 was a big week for the 🔥 babies! They got their first DAPP vaccine (a little behind schedule due to my illness), got put on the stacking box for the first time, and were temperament tested. The Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test is just another tool for me to help evaluate best fit. The testing is done by someone they’ve never seen in an environment they have not been in. I’ve attached their scores as well as a breakdown of what the different categories are and what the score describes.

I have bad news. It appears that Annie has resorbed her babies and is no longer pregnant. 😞 Fetuses were confirmed via ultrasound at 4 weeks, but something happened in the last month I guess. I’m saddened but maybe it is a sign that it’s past time for her retirement.

I will be spaying her and doing a full COHAT dental next week, and once she’s healed she will be looking for a retirement lap to nap on. I will miss her greatly but she is over these youngsters and is ready to be spoiled.

6 weeks old! Their pen has been changed up again. They are a little overdue for first vaccines but I will get those done tomorrow. Definitely an athletic (maybe not super coordinated) bunch. 😆

One day shy of 5 weeks. I switched them out to a bigger pen since they had to be moved for the painters (our house is still under restoration after the kitchen fire). All 3 are very curious and adventurous. I’ve introduced new textures and elevations to continue their environmental exposure. The objects are rotated weekly. :)

The tiny fireballs are 3 weeks old. Ears are open and they’re starting to crawl around and play! They are approaching the potato phase of puppyhood. 🥹
