3 years ago Moonlight came into our care at just 10 days old with his mom and brother and sister. He was an extremely sweet & confident kitten!💗

His currently family describes him an an indoor cat who is energetic and vigilant loving to play with feather wands. He enjoys chasing after various types of balls and toy mice. He enjoys playing with his littermate as well. Above all, his greatest passion in life is feeding time!

He is currently on fluoxetine & gabapentin to help with some of his behaviors such as love biting when getting overstimulated. They do feel this has helped on the bright side!

Moonlight would do well with an *experienced cat owner* who can actively play with him and love him to pieces. He truly deserves that and for his next home to be his last. Please know If interested he will need patience while he adjusts. He will be losing his home, family and litter mate this will be a huge adjustment.

We think he would do well with another young, energetic cat who loves to run, pounce and wrestle! He was exposed to our dogs at a young age but it’s been several years now since he’s lived with them so we’re unsure how he would do now to say for certain. Small children not recommended since he plays rough

He is FeLV/Fiv negative, microchipped, neutered, fleas and worm free, and vaccinated. ❤️

🏀🐾 March Madness: Fight for the Paws Voting Kicks Off Today!

It’s time for some friendly competition—all for a great cause! 💕 We’ve selected 100 of our spring items to compete in a March Madness-style bracket, but there’s a twist…

We’re partnering with 25 local nonprofit animal charities, and each product group in the bracket is secretly representing one of these organizations! 🐶🐱 Your job? Simply vote by tapping ❤️ or 👍 on your favorite item each round—without knowing which charity it’s linked to!

At the end of voting, the winning product’s charity will receive a special donation with amounts increasing in each bracket, every organization will receive something. 100 Lutz Greenhouse items will be available in a chance auction during our opening week to raise even more funds for these amazing rescues. Tickets will be 11 chances for $5 with all proceeds split amongst the 25 animal charities!

We have been getting a ton of requests for owner surrenders. We understand unfortunate circumstances come up, but unfortunately we are a 1 family rescue fostering out of our own home and have no space to take on owner surrenders. We are not a traditional shelter. We are also currently helping foster a medical need dog for another rescue who was in need. (We believe in helping where the greatest need is at that time even if it’s not under EFA.)

You may see us helping rehome some of our past fosters from time to time (it is extremely rare & we try our best to properly place them the first time) but that’s because it’s a part of our adoption contract that we are fully committed to any animal that ever comes through our home.

⭐️ Our suggestions for those who have no choice but to rehome: take high quality pictures of your pet and share with friends & family first including their temperament, vetting, how they would do in a home with cats, kids and dogs. Rehoming can be extremely stressful on pets and this is why we recommend starting with people you know best. If that doesn’t work: share on Facebook & social media including Facebook groups such as: Ohio cat & kitten adoption and weirdo cat lovers of Cleveland. We always recommend viewing the new owners home and living situation and check that they are able to take care of their other animals veterinary care.

MORDRED the dog loving cat!

Mordred is a very handsome young boy who needs a new foster or permanent home through no fault of his own. He is all white and crystal blue eyes like Paul Newman or Frank Sinatra. We think he has siamese in him due to his sleek body, blue eyes and meowy.

He absolutely loves dogs of all sizes. He will go up to dogs and try to rub on them. Mordred is extremely loving to dogs and people. He likes nothing more than a “dog” nap.

We would like to see Mordred go to a busy home with a dog or two if possible. He would love to have children to play with. He does fine with some cats. At one time lived with 40 in an apt.

Fostered in Fairfax, VA but transport can be arranged up north to Ohio and surrounding areas with no problem

He is a dominant cat however and plays rough. They have a small child in their home and are no longer comfortable with him around her moving forward. He is currently on fluoxetine & gabapentin to help with some of his dominant behaviors. They do feel this has helped on the bright side!

Moonlight would do well with an experienced cat owner who can actively play with him and love him to pieces. He truly deserves that and for his next home to be his last. The other cat in the home is stressed by him so they think a home without other cats or possibly a rowdy young male to play with. He was exposed to our dogs at a young age but it’s been several years now since he’s lived with them so we’re unsure how he would do now to say for certain.

Huge shout out to our girl, Suzi for orchestrating all this.🎉 it’s truly a group effort & the animals are so grateful for everyone coming together.
