Let's take another peek into the wonderful, wacky world of Winifred🐈⬛🐾
Winnie decided to dabble in the field of pest control when a fly entered the office. Fortunately for the fly, she was unsuccessful in her endeavor! *No flies were hurt in the making of this video*
Stay tuned to see what wonderful, wacky thing Winifred will do next!

Taconic Veterinary Center wants to thank all of you for your patience and support as we continue to improve our hospital's appearance! Taconic takes the safety of our staff, clients, and patients very seriously. Therefore, due to the interior renovations this week, we have made the decision to go to curbside Thursday, 8/17 & Friday, 8/18. If you have an appointment on those days, please call upon your arrival so that we may check you in. We apologize for the inconvenience!
It's time for another episode of Winifred Wednesday 🐈⬛🎬
Today, our little Winnie has decided she's had enough of that weird, long, attached thing following her every move. The tail must be stopped!
Did you know that cats will often chase their tails as a way to improve their hunting skills? Young cats are especially prone to this behavior as they are infatuated with anything that moves.
We hope this video made your day a little brighter. Help make ours by posting fun videos of your pet in the comments section!

Taconic Veterinary Center would like to thank SPCA Westchester for hosting such a wonderful and fun Dog Walk and Pet Fair last month! Meeting everyone fur sure was the highlight of our day. Thank you all fur being so patient as we made this video from the pictures of the a-dog-able pups we met! We can't wait for next year's event 🐾❤🐶
As you know, Taconic Veterinary Center is now offering Solensia, a once-a-month injection and the ONLY FDA approved treatment for cats with osteoarthritis (OA) pain. Meet Lyla, an 18-year-old domestic short hair cat with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) who was experiencing OA pain for years despite being medically managed. It is important to note that she has IBD because there are many medications, supplements, and food that she cannot have due to adverse reactions. Solensia, however, is safe enough for even the most sensitive of tummies! 77% of cat owners experienced seeing improvement in signs of pain when their cats were treated monthly in a 3-month study.
Lyla is our first video recorded patient being treated for OA pain. As you can see in her before video, she struggled with everyday tasks such as walking up the stairs, let alone jumping and playing. Mom has pet stairs that she uses to help Lyla get safely up and down from the couch and bed. On December 4th, Lyla received her first injection of Solensia. After 1 week, you can see a drastic improvement in her ability to climb the stairs! Mom has even reported that she is much more playful than usual. Good job, Lyla, we're all rooting for you! Taconic will keep you all posted on her monthly progression🐾❤
If you think your cat is experiencing OA pain and can benefit from once-a-month injections of Solensia, contact Taconic Veterinary Center at 914-737-2437 and schedule an exam today!
