When you enjoy something spectacular like a play, a decadent dinner, a hand-made gift... Do you also ponder the process it took to achieve such an outcome?
I do💗
In my mobile bartending business, there are a LOT of steps that go into curating each magical event.

For example~
I receive an email or call from a client.
Upon returning their message, I ask them a selection of questions to help me better understand their event.
Next, I take all of the data I have received from them, and I begin the formula of figuring drink quantities needed, and the labor required to pull it off, etc.
Then the fun begins, I:
•Lock in the deposit and contract
• Hire a 2nd bartender for that event (usually on a weekend, so the more advanced notice the better.)
• Rent anything needed for the event (and pick it up)
• Travel to storage unit to gather supplies.
• Choose supplies that coordinate with the event's theme
• Take supplies home and lay it all out (make that list and check it thrice!)
• Re-pack said supplies into truck or van
• Grocery shop + ice
• Buy flowers to match the vibe
• Pick out an outfit to also match the vibe
• Load it all up
• Travel (sometimes with my horse trailer)
• Unload equipment and set up (often 3 hours)
• Serve drinks (mocktails too) (service usually 3-7 hours.)
• Clean & pack up (approximately 2 hours)
• Travel back (1-6 hours)
• Unload equipment & clean it (3+ hours)
• Re-load equipment
• Take it back to the storage unit
• Return rentals
• Make a post about event
• Document all expenses for business/ taxes
• Marketing/ accounting/ working/ ALL...OF...IT

Unless you've experienced my craft, you *MIGHT just think I pour beer into a red solo cup and call it a wrap?
On the contrary ~ I am a luxury experience. I take the time, energy & care to create an extraordinary event for you and your guests 💗 I'm damn proud of it too!

How ya like THEM apples?
Once again, 2 Towns Ciderhouse has made some new flavors, ready for your refrigerator or cooler!

As always, it was a blast to decorate my bar space to fit the theme of the evening. Music, cider, dancing, and a very special vintage wine crafted by the folks at Treos; all helped the night close with a bit of magic & appreciation for all the hard work put in throughout the year.

During their EPIC spring fling party, my favorite flavor was from their latest Cellar Series Edition:
Red Plum, Cherry, & Amburana Wood Imperial.

This year, St. Patrick's Day was a real treat. 🍀
Back in February, a familiar name popped up in my emails....
You see, back in Feb 2020, word-of-mouth made its way up to Portland about my blossoming business. A doctor requested to hire me for his annual St. Paddy's bash. Unfortunately, by the time his party came, so did week one of the global pandemic.

Fast forward to February 2024, I got an email from said doctor, inquiring if my business survived or flopped? I happily told him, "I'M STILL A-FLOAT!"

He is from Ireland & damn proud of it!💚 The art and family history is proudly decorated across the walls in their home. He has the most IMPRESSIVE home bar I've ever seen!🤯 Be it scotch, bourbon, whiskey, cognac, mead, Irish imports, YOU NAME IT....it was there. It was absolutely stunning.

I was asked to show up and make whatever drinks his guests requested. It caused me to create some of my favorite craft cocktails and dig around in my brain's vault for some libations from times past. It was challenging and so much fun! His GIANT selection gave me free reign to create anything under the sun.

I'm grateful for this career path, the creativity that surrounds me, the amazing people I meet, and of course.....when clients have pets on the scene! 🐾

JUST DID IT!

Happy Holidays! 🎇🎉
It was my honor to be hired back to help some of the sweetest folks at Nike celebrate their private holiday soiree! I brought everything needed to make this party one for the books! A bartop, flowers, festive decor, hot chocolate station, cocktail smoker, fresh fruit, and enough sparkling tinsel to lure a fish onto dry land.

In a matter of hours, I transformed this back patio into the North Pole. The host had a fire pit roaring and many heaters strewn about to keep us all toasty as we watched the game on the big screen.

This is an annual event I look forward to, in addition to the ab burn the next day after laughing all night! 🤣

Tis The Season! 🎄
Man, am I one lucky gal?!!
One of my favorite clients, Julie, had hired me once again to help her friends & family rock the house! Her & her husband sure know how to throw a party! As always, we discuss what they'd like served, and I oblige. For this party, I served: smoked old fashioneds, whiskey sours, vodka cranberry spritzers, peppermint hot chocolates, hot buttered rum, and some mocktails for the non-drinkers

I was tucked in the corner like a mischievous Elf On The Shelf and watched the epic dance party go down in the living room. Julie, in her GORGEOUS glittering gown, always made sure I had a snack or treat... Mom duty never stops. ❤️

It warms my soul to be able to do what I love and help people celebrate!

You guys...THIS was a dream job!
Sweet Olivia turned 15 and her
birthday request was~ "I want to hang with my besties and have it Bob Ross themed".

Welp, ask and ye shall receive!
Her mother pulled out ALL the stops!
Taco bar, MY bar (mocktails, obviously), smores station, and a long art table! Complete with: paints, pallets, canvases, easels & cute aprons.

The suprise mid party was~ I snuck off to the restroom to jump into my Bob Ross attire, then I came out and taught an hour long painting class. Afterwards, it was back to blasting Beyoncé, devouring decadent cupcakes and full blown shenanigans.

The older I get, the more I romanticize fall 🧡
Brisk foggy walks in the mornings, coffee shops pushing the latest form of liquid pumpkin delight, grocery & department stores plastered with the primary colors and children's school supplies~ Nostalgia at its finest.

For Potions In Motion, this is the time to shine! Autumn is my jam!! Not too hot, not too cold, a break from the hustle & bustle of peak wedding season~ now is the time for more intimate settings, private parties....and if I'm lucky an epic Halloween party or two, three, four....🤣🎃

If you know me, you know I'm a hopeless romantic🤍

As the wedding season is wrapping up~ THIS was one of the most endearing celebrations of the summer. Cassie & Stefan booked me almost a year in advance. They were high school sweethearts and finally made the plunge.
I was hired to perform for their rehearsal dinner and wedding day.

Some of the most touching speeches were given. The weather was perfect. The bourbon/ peach cocktails (the get loose juice is what I called it) were a hit. However, the DANCING was the highlight of the evening! It was such a great crowd, lots of laughing and flailing around!🤣

The love radiating off of them was electric! ⚡️
A big thanks to them and to all the folks who keep hiring my business. I'm so fortunate to be in love with my job!

When it comes to curating cozy cuddle puddles, I'm your gal!
This weekend, a sweet couple got married in the woods. There was a fire ban, so I had to make sure they had all of the blankets, furs, and amenities to stay warm throughout the night💗
I was hired to decorate their canvas tent. This task was right up my alley! Incorporating nature, ambiance, and treats??...SAY LESS!!

Not only did I have a blast designing this love hut, but as a bonus, I got to camp for 2 days as well! WINNING!!!

In 1943, a star was born! 🤩 Meet Maggie, the sweetest gal this side of the cosmos!

I have been incredibly excited to help celebrate her SUPRISE 80th birthday party! Her husband, Dave, has been planning this surprise soiree for MONTHS! Tent, flowers, and hiring me were just the beginning. He not only orchestrated this whole shindig on the low, but he bought every kind of alcohol his guests like....custom, for each guest. *There were 40 people.

No wonder his marriage is still going strong. Everything he does is beyond thoughtful. 💜 People often ask if I feel bummed out, working, while my guests party.....on the contrary! I always feel like I'm part of the party!

I find it a blessing to vicariously live through my clients' events. For this private dance party, I not only mingled and laughed with so many interesting folks, for 4 hours....I had 30 grandparents I never had. It was heartwarming, to say the least. 💗

Take a gander at my bar cart, Bernadette, in all her glory!! She's 50 shades of pink & purple for this party.....but keep in mind, she has many outfits. She can blend in to match ANY vibe you might desire for YOUR future event!! 😉

The ONE event this year, I barely got any photos of~
Luckily, they need no introduction.

Your favorite P.N.W cider house/ seltzer slingers, 2 Towns, had their annual cider education gathering; followed by a company party!

We set up in the woods of Avery Park. Ross hooked up 6 taps of deliciousness, I manned the bar, and everyone danced and chatted into the night.

It's always a pleasure to party down with this crew of hard-working, creative, party animals! 🥳

Well, actually, my client does~
This golden hour gathering was put on by NuScale Power.

They held a 400-person company party right here at Avery Park, in Corvallis.

Bounce house, B.B.Q, and your favorite drink slingers (Potions In Motion) were on the scene taking care of business!💪🏽🍷🍻

The weather was perfect, the crowd was happy, and the libations served from our jungle/ disco tent were fantastically frosty! 🧊

I'm a sucker for romance🌹

For this magical, intimate event~ Kayla & David reserved a darling vintage venue up in Portland, Oregon .

This place is an old church, renovated into the cutest, most spacious, landscaped oasis! *And, to everyone's suprise....AIR CONDITIONED!! *Caterers....the basement prep area is a DREAM!!

For beverages they requested: I.P.A's, Modelo & lime, wine, margaritas, and negronis. Of course, I had edible orchids & spray roses to decorate the delicious margs~ always an add-on option for my clients. 💜

They enjoyed a local taco cart, dinner on the veranda, and dancing on the gorgeous hardwood floors.

My bar was tucked in on the deck and surrounded by flowers, friends, and family! A successful & magical evening, to say the least.

Suprise, suprise, suprise!!!
This last event was SO THOUGHTFUL! 💜

My client wanted to throw his wife a suprise 50th birthday soiree ~ so we did.
The extremes we went through to pull this off were hilarious.
With only 2 phone calls, 2 texts, zero emails, zero meetings, and a trusted over-the-phone-credit card.....He informed me she liked Titos, Tequila & purple, and confided in me to handle the rest!

I gave Bernadette (my mobile bar horse trailer) a good scrub down, stocked her full of cocktails, mocktails, cold beer, and LOTS of fresh fruit.....and away we went.

He pulled it off, and she loved it!🥰

Although summer IS my prime-time-wedding-season....I LOVE any reason to celebrate! Birthdays, engagements, new job, moving away, graduation, you name it..... I'm in!
