Fosters Needed! 🤎🖤❗️(FOSTER PENDING thank you to everyone!)

Hi folks! We are putting out a request for puppy fosters for these two 2-month-old girls Aragorn (black) and Gimli (brown). They are only two pups out of a litter of nine (the rest of the Fellowship) that we recently took in. 🧝‍♂️🧙‍♂️

They have been growing and learning in one of our current foster homes, but they need another foster so they can grow big enough for adoption. Big focus on socialization and house training! Homes with another social dog(s) and kids are really helpful. They would definitely benefit from another home with a fenced backyard and lots of time to help them learn. 🏡🫶

It is such a rewarding experience to help puppies grow and help them find their forever homes. 💕

Melissa and Millicent 🤍🖤

These two sweet, four-month-old girls have been with us since September and are STILL looking for their new homes! Melissa has the white chest and white right upper lip while Millicent has a little white chin. 😍

These two girlies are so outgoing and love to hang out with any visitors that stop by to say hello! Melissa loves playing in boxes and give Millicent a cat tower to climb and she’ll be your best friend!

Melissa and Millicent are FIV+ but please don’t let that scare you away! It just means that they are immunocompromised and would need to be indoor-only kitties. It is also worth noting that FIV isn’t spread through casual contact. If these kittens were to get along with your resident cat they can share food bowls and even litter boxes without spreading FIV. They would make a great addition to any family! Their adoption is $165 together and they come spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccination and flea treatment.

🎉 TWO Pawsome Events Coming Up at Heartland Humane! 🎉

🎄 Paws and Claus Open House - December 13th
Join us from 3-6pm at 398 SW Twin Oaks Cir, Corvallis for our festive open house! Meet our adorable adoptable animals, tour the shelter, enjoy hot chocolate, and watch some of our pups pick out their own toys from the donation pile! 🐾

Admission: Bring a dog or cat toy OR dog or cat food to support our furry friends. We'll add these toys to the donation pile so our pups can pick them out in front of you!

🪩 Ball Drop - January 4th, 2026 from 8am-1pm (choose your time slot during registration)
New Year, Neutered Cat! Ring in the New Year by helping us neuter 100 cats in our community! Neuter surgeries are $20 or $26 for the Neuter+ Package which includes surgery, RCP vaccine, rabies vaccine, and microchip.

Happy Foster Friday from Nala, Jeremy, and Talia! 🤎🧡🤍

🤎 Nala is a lovely almost three-year-old, medium haired cat looking for her forever home. Her fosters say that she took a couple of days to warm up to her new environment, but they quickly learned that she just loves to be around people. She’s experienced lots of movie nights in her foster home, but seems to love watching Dancing with the Stars and Stranger Things in particular. She enjoys scratches behind her ears and under her chin and will stop purring when she is ready to be let down after being held. Her adoption is $115 and she is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

🧡Jeremy is a female orange tabby who is about a year and a half. She is playful, loving, and enjoys pets on her head, neck, and shoulders. Her playful side comes out when she pounces on her fluffy toys with all four legs. She will gladly accept applause for her triumph. One of her foster homes has said that they think she could become a lap cat as she matures. And that’s all she needs, a loving home where she can continue to grow, explore, and have fun. Her adoption is $115 and she is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

🤍Talia is a two-year-old, short haired, orange and white cat is a gentle cat looking for her forever home. I’m her foster home she has developed a routine of wanting anywhere from five seconds to a minute of pets before she will eat her meal (how cute!). She absolutely loves a good lickable treat too! Her foster home says that she is a clean, near, quiet, and well-mannered addition into the home. Her adoption is $115 and she is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Flamingo’s Happy Tail 🦩

This sweet girl came to Heartland as a stray in June, upon her intake examination is was clear she had an injury to her hind leg.

Once our medical team examined her, they found that her leg was broken beyond repair. After a successful surgery, Flamingo went to heal and relearn her body in one of our loving foster homes (see the video). By early July Flamingo was adopted! 🎉💕

In an update we received her adopter said, “She is doing very well! We go to the dog park everyday and she has lots of friends she likes to play with.”

Thank you to everyone who supported Flamingo and Heartland. Without your support none of this would have been possible! 🫶

Jupiter and Saturn 🪐💖

The transformation this bonded pair has gone through is out of this world! 🌍 Jupiter (grey) and Saturn (cream) came to us as strays in late September and they were incredibly shy, wanting to hide. Our medical team caught that they had ringworm as well as some intestinal parasites so treatment began immediately.

It took time, love, and lots of cleaning 🧼 But now this sweet pair is ringworm and parasite free and are now searching for their forever home!

They may still be a little shy when you first meet them, but through time and patience they are the sweetest little furballs who are out of this world! 💫

Happy Foster Friday from Pepper Jack and Mama Cheeseburger 🧀🍔

Pepper Jack is a 1-year-old mixed breed, large dog who came to Heartland in the beginning of September and is STILL looking for his forever home. He is such a big-hearted boy who loves a good snuggle. His dedicated foster home is AMAZING and is helping this young man turn into an amazing dog. Could his new home be with you? 💛

Mama Cheeseburger is not currently available for adoption as she is still raising her kittens, Ketchup and Mustard. She is making friends her with foster doggy sister and being an incredible mama. Look out for when this sweet girl is ready for her new home! ❤️

Kittens Are Arriving at Heartland

Kitten Season has officially begun! Heartland is closed to the public, but our work with the animals continues. We need your help now more than ever. Make a donation today or shop items from our Kitten Season Wish List. Make sure to include your contact information in the gift receipt so that we can thank you. Monetary and in-kind donations are tax deductible.

Heartland has already received our first litters of bottle babies. These newborns went straight to foster homes where they will receive critical nutrition and socialization until they are old enough to be in the shelter. Heartland remains an open intake shelter for animals in Benton County. If you find kittens, please wait before moving them (mother may be hiding close by).
