"Some of my favorite things about working at Wilco is their dedication to work/life balance; my amazing coworkers; our longtime customers, farm and youth accounts; and going to community events – especially the Junior Livestock Auctions. These things embody my own priorities and enable me to work to work to my full potential." - Rachel R, Receiver and Training Lead at the Kelso Wilco store.

Rachel adds, "Thanks to Wilco’s work/life balance, I was able to serve as a 4-H leader while my kids were younger, engaging with them and making memories that last a lifetime."

When asked what are some of her favorite things about being a Receiver, Rachel noted "The opportunities I have had to increase my knowledge of, not only retail, but other important life skills. Thanks to Wilco, I have my Washington State Pesticide License and have completed certificates for Dale Carnegie, CPR, and Stihl. I have served on the safety committee and have helped set new stores. Currently, I serve on our Employee Council Team and am the Training Lead and mentor for receiving and inventory specialists at eight Wilco locations.

Rachel has been a part of Wilco for 12 years and in her current position for 5 years. Before becoming a Receiver, Rachel was also a Clothing Area Specialist for the store.

Wilco is proud to be a farmer & rancher owned cooperative!

Ryan Cheeke Farms relies on their local Wilco Farm Store for many things, including their fencing, hardware, and clothing needs. They also utilize the Purina Livestock Production Specialist (LPS) Program, which allows them to order feed products through a Purina salesperson via Wilco. "The LPS Program is a great benefit to us because instead of going to the store to buy a small amount in multiple trips, they will direct ship the Purina products I need in larger quantities, like mineral products for my cattle," Ryan said. "This Wilco-Purina partnership helps us maximize efficiencies and results."

Merry Christmas from your Farmer-Owned Co-op. We hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday full of joy.

Thank you to our store teams who are working hard today to ensure customers get all the last minute items on their list.

All stores will be closing early tonight at 5pm and remain closed tomorrow for Christmas so our employees can spend the holiday with their friends and family.

Stores will be back open regular hours on Thursday, the 26th. Always open on Farmstore.com.

Another Wilco Wish Granted! Last month, we asked who you’d want to help out this season and what gifts you'd give them. This month, the Wilco Elves have been fulfilling some of those wishes.

This wish was submitted by Erin P. in Vancouver, WA, who wanted her step-dad and mom's holiday to be special. "My step-dad, Bruce was recently diagnosed with stage four liver cancer. He has a liver mass that is 18cm. This has been devastating to our family. We have faith the treatments he is receiving will be lifesaving. My mother, Kathleen is doing her best to stay strong. This would spread joy & love during a very difficult time with his health condition, the treatments causing side effects and medical expenses. They have a small s***z tzu dog named, Cheif, who is Bruce's world. I simply just want them to feel love during this hard time."

We contacted Erin and arranged to fulfill her wish! The Wilco Elves at the Vancouver Wilco put together a basket of cozy gifts for Bruce, Kathleen, and Chief.

Another Wilco Wish Granted! Last month, we asked who you’d want to help out this season and what gifts you'd give them. This month, the Wilco Elves are fulfilling some of those wishes.

This wish was submitted by Dorinda H. in Springfield, OR, who wanted to make sure that a brave kid, Weston, had a very merry Christmas. "Weston is 3 years old and was diagnosed with heart problems in October. He spent almost two weeks at OHSU and had a pacemaker implanted. He has had to be quarantined to avoid infection and not be too active until he is completely healed. His Mom lost her job due to missed work due to Weston being in Portland."

We contacted Dorinda and arranged to fulfill her wish! Weston and his family stopped by the Springfield Wilco, where the Wilco Elves helped him pick out some gifts on his wish list.

Wilco Wish #3 Granted! Last month, we asked who you’d want to help out this season and what gifts you'd give them. This month, the Wilco Elves are fulfilling some of those wishes.

This wish was submitted by Michael H. in Yakima, WA, who wrote us to let us know that his friend, Terry's drill had died and he would like to gift him a new one. "Terry has completely changed his life from being in the lowest place possible! He has been sober for over a year and has gotten married and met family he was estranged from for many years! He is doing amazing and this would just be an added blessing to his new lease on life!"

We contacted Michael and arranged to fulfill his wish! The Wilco Elves at the Yakima Wilco Store were happy to help Terry find a new drill.

Congratulations to Barb (Training & Improvement Manager) and Marybeth (Pasco Wilco Store Manager) for receiving an award for their project presentation at the RMCP (Retail Management Certification Program) through the NHPA (North American Hardware and Paint Association - NHPA) Advanced Learning Program. Their project was Pharm to Farm which will provide customers an opportunity to order pharmaceutical and prescription medications online and have them shipped directly to their home.

Wilco has now graduated 20 team members from NHPA's Retail Management Certification Program and has won this best presentation award 2 years in a row now.

Congratulations, Barb & Marybeth, and thank you for your dedication and hard work!
