AZCR Dog of the Day: Argyle

What does Argyle’s foster mom, Jessica Gamache have to say about this handsome senior? Read below:

Argyle aka Silver Fox (Cha cha) is still up for adoption at this time and needs his forever home. He’s a senior pup and is so sweet once you gain his trust, roughly 10 years in age.

Some updates on this sweet fella since my last share, he’s crawled up on his own to Kevin’s lap and will even cuddle up next to me. He plays with the other pups on our home. It’s so great to his tail wag.

We think he would do well in a home who has the opportunity to work with him snd his needs.

He’s obviously had a rough life before his rescue. This sweet pup was on the Euthanasia list but rescued from another foster in January and came our way early May and we’ve had him since.

With the help and guidance of our fellow fosters, we are determined to keep on working on his ultimate happiness, comfort, and placement in a well deserved home. He’s gained quite the attachment to my husband and has become his shadow, most recently preferring to sleep on a pillow on the ground next to my husband vs taking his clothes.

He has had 2 appointments for (sedated) nail trim, and is due for another but are hoping his new parent can make some additional gaines with his comfort, either at a groomer or themselves. We continue to work on getting him comfortable with being held or picked up, he’s simply too sensitive to this. We really haven’t pushed it.

He loves to follow my pup around, is potty trained but has gotten comfortable and will sneak away to potty in the house if not gated off. He eats well, does well with cats and sleeps well at night. He also does very well with the younger foster most recently joining in on the fun.

He used to be known to be a little thief of your dirty laundry, though we haven’t seen much of this since him sleeping on a pillow previously on our bed. We previously found my husbands clothes and maybe a slipper or shoe on his bed with him (unharmed) - we believe it was just a comfort thing.

June bug is an older girl with a couple medical issues we are working through. She already completed her dental bringing her one step closer to finding her forever home. She is very curious and loves food! June bug will make a great cuddle buddy. She is doing well with other dogs, big and small.

Blankets required in future home!! This sweet girl, Noelle, is looking for her forever home. With no major medical issues, Noelle is 12 years old with lots of love to give. She enjoys walks, any food, and snuggles galore. She would love to be an only dog but gets along with calm dogs.
