As an owner of a couple anxious dogs myself, I will share this every year.

Quick PSA: During the Fourth of July holiday, and the days leading it up to it when folks start celebrating with noisy fireworks, scores of pets run away from the sights and sounds, making the day after Independence Day the busiest of the year for animal hospitals and shelters. Please do your due diligence. And if you feel as though your pet may need medication to help them relax during firework season, now is the time to speak with your veterinarian!

Shared from another breeder. It is good to see other breeders warning about certain preventatives.

It can be confusing as many of these medications are in the same drug class but the difference is in the active ingredients which may not be tolerated by all dogs. Because we don’t know which dogs will have a negative reaction, we recommend only using the ones which our parent dogs have done well on. 🐾

Happy Monday! 🐾
If your puppy bolts out into traffic, assess the situation quickly. Calling them might be fatal because you may be asking them to run back into traffic.

If you encounter an aggressive dog, this recall could be great, or it could trigger the aggressive dog to chase (a long down stay might be best in this situation). Again, assess and use your best judgement.

Step it up and practice this command with a long drag line (20 plus feet) and take them out in a high distraction area. When they are not focused on you, call “puppy puppy puppy”. If they don’t come? Reel them in and keep calling them. Remember to only be positive and happy (even if you are frustrated and have to reel them in). Give them lots of praise and a treat when they reach you. Let them go back out and explore and place and repeat a few times. Coming to you should always be positive and safe!

Puppies younger than six-weeks-old still retain some of their mother’s antibodies but the highest susceptibility window for parvo is six weeks to six months.

Symptoms include: lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, severe, often bloody, diarrhea, abdominal pain and bloating, fever or low body temperature (hypothermia)

We’ve been plenty busy with little Teddy! He’s quite the energized little pup! We gave Teddy his first warm weather hair cut today and he behaved very well! He can be a handful sometimes but we still love his loyalty (and obviously how adorable he is!🥰🐶) We don’t have Facebook but thought the adoption process went very smoothly. He has been a great addition to our family and we couldn’t be more grateful! ☺️

This handsome fluffy boy is the last one from his litter born on June 18th who is still looking for his forever family! Hank is a black and white parti bernedoodle puppy, located in Coshocton Ohio. ⚠️ Warning ⚠️
regarding the Christmas treats many stores are now stocked up on for dogs.

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time, and few thousands dollars gone, at the emergency Vet doing surgery over Christmas.

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China!!!!

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.
On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking.
The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Leave them in the shop where they belong or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away for later, then dispatch in the garbage (please DO NOT Regift)

Please be safe with your dogs!

Meet Hank!! He is a 17 week old Mini Bernadoodle. Hank weighs 20lbs! He is shy but will run to meet his humans. Great with all ages and animals. Still working on puppy manners. He is very soft & cuddly! Will require regular grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. 💙

Who is on the search for a new family member?!

Any one of these puppies would be a great addition! These puppies are good options for someone that has pet allergies. The Bernedoodles are 1st generation which makes them 50% Mini poodle and 50% Bernese Mountain Dog. As they don’t “shed” like most double coated breeds they do still lose some hair like we do. You may notice some hair in your brush while brushing but you won’t get hair on your clothes, house or furniture! Both breeds require regular grooming (haircuts) throughout their lifetime every 4-6 weeks. Having the right tools to keep them tangle free is key to a beautiful coat and beautiful haircut! They were all raised inside well socialized, started on potty training, introduced to crate training, started on leash training. Raised around other dogs (big/small, young/old), children ages from 3-13, cats & chickens. All puppies are utd on puppy vaccines, we follow a strict protocol on their vaccines and dewormings. Puppies come with a spay-neuter contract & 30 days FREE pet insurance through Trupanion! A battle cry to the public.

So many breeders are selling puppies way below the price should be to get quality care and pedigree/lines.

Please understand that if that is all that is supported you are putting all of our dogs at risk. Responsible and ethical breeders cannot stay in business and hold the standards that our dogs deserve.

From careful selection of parents, health testing, veterinary care, quality nutrition, puppy curriculum, puppy evaluations, and on and on.

I am seeing ethical and responsible breeders pausing left and right and what I need you to know is that if all of our GOOD breeders are reducing our litters and or stopping breeding altogether (we will not breed to any other standard other than of excellence) then what will be left of our dogs? Our lines?

I need this message to be heard LOUD AND CLEAR. Our dogs are at risk. I know the economy is crappy. We are all feeling that, but please save, be patient, and research before getting a dog at a price that is "too good to be true".

I am watching this all unfold before my eyes and I need your help!

Please protect all of our ethical breeders.
