When Nala is relaxing and doesn’t want to be messed with, she will do gentle corrections. Whether it be with her puppies, Thor, Chevelle or Sascha, she always starts with gentle corrections. Then she will remove herself from the situation if they don’t get the point or if I am not around to end it.
This video is showing the aftermath of gentle corrections. She has had enough, as you can see, her ears are back, she’s licking her lips, and yawning when she’s not tired. These are all signs that a dog is upset, getting ready to attack, has had enough etc. You get the point.
If you are out and about with your dog and they are showing these signs, remove them from the situation or help your dog.
Don’t keep your dog in a position to where they feel uncomfortable.
90 percent of the time, I let my dogs do their thing. Because how will they learn each other’s boundaries if I am always stepping in. Also, Nala is REALLY good at teaching these young pups right from wrong, not every dog has this quality.
This is important to learn YOUR dogs body language so YOU know when they’ve had enough or they’re uncomfortable.
The babies FIRST time outside!! 🥰 I figured it was warmer and they’re bigger now so it was time! Time to potty train now 🙃
Our backyard is a mess of course and there’s mud, so that’s fun 😆🙈 so ready for Spring!
