We’ve made the difficult decision to close today as the safety of our staff is our biggest priority (afterall, we couldn’t do what we do without them!) and most of their commutes to work are lengthy. We will be back in on Monday!

LOST DOG!

A client called this morning to report they found a lost dog on Arbury Ct in Cottage Grove. Do you recognize this dog?

No form of identification (collar, ID, etc).
The individual who currently has the dog is unsure if the dog is male or female.
They will be brining him/her in for a microchip scan later this morning if the owner is not found.

Happy Wednesday (and 3rd day of Veterinary Technician Week)!!!

As you probably guessed, Brooklyn is our assistant of the day! This girl has blossomed more than you could ever imagine in the 3.5 years she's been here. She was hired as a receptionist and, though came to us with some significant professional dog/cat experience, she had nearly everything to learn about veterinary medicine.

Fast forward 3 years and not only has Brooklyn become a talented veterinary assistant, she trained and practiced like mad to improve her skills with exam and surgery assistance as well as phlebotomy. To top it off, she is working full time AND a student at Madison College, chasing her CVT (certified veterinary technician) license.

Brooklyn, you were an incredible addition to B2B and I've been very proud watching you grow and dig deep for your goals. As a staff member at B2B, the clients and patients can always count on you to have their best interest at heart. You start every appointment with a huge smile and are able to spread the things you've learned with ease. The staff know you'll also give 110% and your entire pack of dogs and cats are so incredibly lucky to have you.

You (and all your personality!) are appreciated. You are loved. And you make all of us so proud! 💝

Thank you for all you do! You're going to make an amazing licensed professional in the years to come - and I can't wait to watch you every step of the way.

Day 2 of Veterinary Technician Week is dedicated to Brooke, one of our amazing veterinary assistants! Nearly every single client will recognize her as we creep up on 10 years of being blessed with her love and devotion to this clinic and industry!!

Brooke also started out as a receptionist before quickly gaining skill and knowledge, allowing her to branch out into assisting (naturally and seamlessly) with appointments, surgery, and phlebotomy/lab work. Since her first day, she's been an incredibly thoughtful, hardworking, and talented staff member who never fails to bring some laughter into a conversation.

Brooke, we are so thankful for you ever single day. We appreciate your passion for animals and how willing you are to help anyone in need. Your creativity, technical skills, and ability to relate to so many around you makes you so unique and special. You make the BIGGEST difference here, both as a co-worker and as a care giver for the clients and patients who get to chat with you. You are loved and appreciated beyond measure - again, from all us, including your sweet Laila, Sneaks, and Bun Bun!

Happy Technician’s Week to our Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Jamie!

Jamie has been here since 2016 and has grown to be the most talented, compassionate, and knowledgeable technician and hospital manager. She takes pride in her work, both personally and professionally, and is always looking for new ways to grow and learn. Plus, she makes a great teacher for our up and coming CVTs and assistants!

Jamie, we are so incredibly lucky to have you!
THANK YOU for all you do, day in and day out, to make all of our days brighter. Your well rounded skills in both medicine and surgery help so many dogs and cats to live a better life. Your communication with clients allows them to learn and understand in a way that is both fun and thought provoking. We hired Masterwork Brick & Stone, LLC to install a herringbone pattern accent wall and ordered a custom B2B sign. It turned out so good! Come see for yourself!
