🐶 🐾 FYI WAG PATRONS 🐾🐶

The water fountain has been turned off for the season so be sure to bring water for your puppies when you visit the park.

And for those that are feeling extra helpful fill up those empty milk jugs you have at home and bring them down. This way we can have some water on hand for those who forget.

Thank you!! 🐶❤️

🐾 Two Dogs Per User🐾

To ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone, please remember that only 2 dogs per visitor are allowed at a time. 🐕🐕 This rule helps us create a better experience for everyone:

🐶Safety: Managing more than two dogs can make it harder to control them, which may lead to accidents or conflicts between dogs.

🐶Space: The park gets busy, and limiting the number of dogs per person helps prevent overcrowding.

🐶Fair Play: With fewer dogs per visitor, everyone gets a chance to enjoy the park with their pups!

Thanks for understanding and helping us keep the park fun and safe for all! 🐾🐶🤩

🐾 No Leashes Inside the Dog Park 🐾

Hey, WAG friends! 🐶 You might wonder why we ask you to remove your dog’s leash once inside the park. Here’s why:

When dogs play while leashed, it can cause accidents like:

Tangles: Dogs can trip or get tangled with other pups.
Tension: Leashes can create stress, causing dogs to act differently than they would when free. This can especially cause problems when an unleashed dog approaches a leashed dog.
Injuries: Dogs running full speed with a leash on can get caught and hurt themselves or others.

By letting your dog roam leash-free, we’re creating a safer, more enjoyable environment for everyone! 🐕🐾

Remember that your dog should be leashed, however, when entering and exiting the dog park area. Thanks for understanding and keeping our park safe!

🐾🌳 Celebrate the Memory of Your Beloved Dog 🌳🐾

Our furry friends may leave us, but their pawprints remain forever in our hearts ❤️. Our Tribute Plaques are a perfect way to honor the dogs that made our lives brighter. These beautiful plaques will be on display in our tribute garden and serve as a permanent reminder of your four-legged loved one while supporting the park they loved so much.

By dedicating a plaque, you'll not only celebrate their memory but also contribute to the upkeep of the park, helping it remain a joyful space for future wagging tails and happy pups. 🐕💫

Ordering information can be found in the brochures on the side of the display or email us at [email protected]. Let’s keep their tails wagging in spirit. 🐶❤️🌟

🐶🐾Dog Park Etiquette - Keep it Moving 🐾🐶

When you arrive, immediately remove your dog's leash and avoid lingering at the entrance. Why the hurry? Dogs already in the park can be eager to make friends and tend to mob the incoming visitors as they enter, which can cause those pups to feel cornered. Once you're in, call your dog away from the entrance allowing others to enter unbothered.

During your visit, move to a new spot every few minutes. This will prompt your pup to keep an eye on you which can lower his chances of getting involved in a conflict or unpleasant encounter.

By following these tips, you can help your furry friend have an enjoyable visit and keep the park safe for all visitors. 🐕🤩

Fun night breaking in the splash pad. Thanks to those who came out and took a “dip”. Some dogs weren’t too sure what to make of it but I’m sure with time they will be splashing away.

We’re still working out details on how we’ll operate the splash pad long-term - like having it run on a timer - but in the meantime we’ll continue with some splash pad play times depending how weather conditions. Stay tuned for the next one! 🐕🐾

📢🐾 INTRODUCING NEW SPLASH PAD!! 🐾📢

Join us tomorrow 4:30-6 pm to help us break it in!

Been wondering what the new cement pad is for? Well, wonder no longer. We're excited to announce we have a new splash pad! Now our doggies can enjoy some wet and wild fun while visiting the park. 🐶🤩

We were fortunate to receive a grant award recently and user feedback told us this amenity was on the top of the wish list. So, we put some of our new funding toward this feature.

We're still working out all the logistics on how it will operate long-term, but in the meantime, we will host some scheduled splash pad play times. The first one being tomorrow at 4:30-6pm. If your doggie loves water play, come down and help us break in our newest feature! Look forward to seeing you there! 🤩☀🐶

📢🐾HEADS UP WAG'ERS 🐾📢

There will be a crew at the park tomorrow installing a cement pad. They will be starting at 7:30 am and working in the west side just down from the fountain. Be aware that there will be some vehicles and equipment moving in and out of the park so if your dog is skittish, you may want to avoid the park tomorrow.

They will be placing a plastic fence around their work area but please do your best to keep your dog from interfering and away from that area. The fence will be in place for 24 hrs and then removed. At that point, it will be dry enough for the dogs to walk on.

More to come later on what the cement pad is for. It will be something very fun for the puppies! Apologies for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation! 😍🐶

🐾🐕Rule Reminder 🐕🐾

Dogs must be under direct control of their owner/handler at all times and responsive to voice commands. A leash must be available at all times.

Being a responsible park patron means keeping your dog in your sights at all times. This means no sitting on a bench while your dog runs freely around the park. You need to be able to intervene immediately if your dog ends up in a conflict or is playing a little hard with another dog who may not be enjoying it.

It takes all of us to keep the park safe and enjoyable for all. 😍🐶
