Yesterday at dusk I saw one of my compatriots, a swallow, exuberantly flying with a downy white feather in its beak. They're refurbishing their nests. While zooming about in the fray, the swallow dropped the feather. It seemed to be drifting for quite a while towards the ground when she triumphantly darted in and snatched it up. Ha!

What a neat thing to just happen to see.

Farm days have many moments like this. Sometimes I can't believe I just happened to look at the right moment.

We are lucky people.

I'm very sorry to announce that there will be no Cake by the Ocean 2022. Our partners in crime, Mitch Vincent and Cody Wood, have a lot going on and sadly need to pass this year. It's been a tremendous privilege and joy for all of us who have been able to participate in this special event in a truly magical place. I hope we'll be able to return.
