DO YOU HAVE A "NOSE-Y" DOG?
Your dog’s nose is powerful, but does it get them off track?
Without structure, the natural instinct to follow a scent can turn into overstimulation, frustration, or a dog who checks out from their human the second they sniff something exciting.
This event is about putting those instincts to work.
We’ll practice scent work enrichment, build focus around exciting rewards, and introduce tracking skills in a way that can help dogs become calmer, braver, and more connected to their handlers.
For the dog who loves fetch, this helps add structure.
For the dog who loves sniffing, this helps build control.
WISH YOUR DOG COULD/WOULD SWIM?
We are *often* told that a dog doesn't or can't swim, and we're here to tell you that's a little silly. 😉 All healthy dogs are capable of swimming, and if your dog doesn't seem to like the water, we're guessing they were introduced in a way that didn't work for their brain chemistry.
Good news, we can help. For the dog who “can’t swim,” our approach helps create a safe, confidence-building introduction to water. The goal for you and your dog might not be to actually swim - the goal might just be to have a positive experience in the water. We'll take it at your dog's pace.
HAVE A VETERAN SWIMMER?
This event will have enough challenges to keep even the most advanced swimmer satisfied. We can show you how to turn your dog's natural drive into teamwork.
