We stumbled upon very special old show photos which brought back many memories! We decided to start a Throwback Thursday series. We will try our best to be as accurate as possible with information! Enjoy!

‘Merlin’ started with Alan Reike, we then had the pleasure of taking him into our program to continue his Hunter Under Saddle show career where Annalise Larson and owner, Judy Jones, have many memories showing him in the open and select events. Merlin made his first World Show debut in 2011 where Tanya Green showed him to a 7th place in the Senior Hunter Under Saddle. I still remember when Brad Kearns came to try him out in tennis shoes and seemed pretty certain that this horse would work for his daughter, Nya.
Merlin is now a multiple AQHA World and Congress Champion (Nya Kearns) with multiple Superiors, earnings exceeding $6,000 and over 500 AQHA points. He ended his career at 18 years old (2022), with a Back-to-Back World Champion title in the LV3 Am Equitation with Nya.

Very thankful for Merlin and the people he has brought into our life to celebrate his success!

‘Chex’ started his career as a Western Pleasure Futurity Champion. He was brought to me to be started as a 2yo, as he showed great promise, we purchased him for Annalise Larson’s youth horse. He began his All-Around Career with Bill Bormes (Miya Childers) and later finished out his outstanding career under the guidance of Kelly McDowell. He was a multiple AQHA & NSBA World and Congress Champion (Natalia DeVencenty) has multiple Superiors, earnings exceeding $22,000 and 2700 AQHA points. He ended his career at 18 years old (2020), placing Top 10 at the AQHA World Show. Chex has since passed but the thoughts of starting him as a 2yo brings me great joy to see how far he went.

‘Zena’ started as a Western Pleasure Futurity Champion. She later moved to Leonard Berryhill’s program where her All-Around Career began. She has been an AQHA Reserve Congress Champion (with Barb Melby Knudsen), has multiple Superiors (Western Pleasure, Trail and Horsemanship), earnings exceeding $8,000 and over 700 AQHA points. She is currently owned by Ginna Lazar of California and showing as recently as last week in Vegas at the LV1 Championships at 19 years old!! I absolutely love this mare and the memories she created, and continues to!

7yo AQHA Brown Mare - Maxie has points in Halter, Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Horsemanship and Western Pleasure - She is an AQHA Amateur Champion and nearing her Open Championship. 130+ points with limited showing. This is the type of show mare you want in your barn! She is safe for any level rider and would make an excellent walk/trot horse. She has Nationally Qualified for the World Show in multiple events L2 & L3. Maxie is the real deal. She was shown two weeks ago to Circuit Champion, Class Wins and Res. Grand Champion.

Maxie is sound on a daily basis, but does not x-ray well. Therefore, she is priced accordingly at $30,000
