Exciting news! When I retired from breeding I sold Jada with a contract that the owner would breed to the same standard of excellence that I had. She has exceeded that and both of the breeding dogs that she got from me have been health checked for everything possible, hips, elbows, eyes, heart, in addition to all the genetic testing that was done between what I had done and what she had done. Both dogs passed on everything! Jada has an ultrasound confirmed pregnancy with a due date of June 9th. Buckley has been adopted by a couple very dear to me. He’s going to have a wonderful life in North Carolina. Thanks to all of you supportive friends who shared the post and all those who have done business with me over the last fifteen years. I’m sad to see it come to an end because I really love the puppies and it has been a wonderful fifteen years. What brings more joy than having more puppies?

Buckley is still available. This boy is a laidback yet confident and friendly pup that will fit into alsmost any home. I still have two boys available. Sawyer (Grayson) was adopted by an older couple with an RV and was returned because he has too much puppy energy to be an RV puppy. Sawyer would be a great fit for a younger couple or family with a fenced yard. Other dogs in the household would be awesome for Sawyer. He is a very sweet and loving puppy and great with my grandchildren, ages 6 to 10. He may have too much energy to be a good pup with toddlers. He wants to play. Lots! My final litter are now collared and named, so I am posting the two week pics in case anyone wants to get a Doodledawg from this final litter before I retire. Samson update: Samson had a checkup today and had more fluid drained. The report came back from the lab for the bag of fluid removed during surgery. It’s something called a dermoid cyst and is congenital. It forms when the pup is in the embryo stage. Due to the support we received on the Gofundme for Samson, I am attaching a photo of the lab report. The vet wants to try to let him grow more before doing another surgery if he continues to have fluid buid-up. Samson had to get a cone on today because tthere is some drainage from the rear incision and he was trying to push the suit aside to get at it. The suit has to stay on to help keep the incision area clean and to keep Jada from licking it for him. Overall, he’s feeling good, eating well and being a puppy. Thank you to all of you that helped us get through this.

Samson update, Thursday, October 13, 2022

I just had a visit with Samson at the veterinary hospital. He seems to be doing well but they aren’t releasing him until they do another ultrasound to be sure there is no urine leaking into his abdomen. I’m hoping he’ll be able to come home this afternoon. He has two large incisions but overall, they look good today. I am posting a photo of his pleading face inside the cone and of his tummy cuts. Thank you for all the support with this crisis.

Samson update: The Veterinary Hospital updated me on Samson this morning. He’s up and moving and eating well, but has some leakage from his incision that they are concerned about. They are testing to see if it’s urine. If so, he may need further surgery. They are keeping him in the hospital until they are able to determine whether the leakage is urine or just fluid from the surgery. Thank you to everybody helping with the veterinary expenses. I will keep you posted.

Jada is expecting a litter November 18 or thereabouts. This litter will be my final litter before I retire. This litter will be F1 Goldendoodles and should be reds, maybe some apricots, because the sire is a red Golden Retriever, so lots of red on both sides. Jada was cleared on all her genetic testing. I am taking early reservations on the first two of each gender now. First choice girl has been spoken for, so one girl spot and two boy spots are available.
